I can not believe another year has come and gone. When I started Addicted to Saving back in 2009, I wasn’t expecting for this blog to grow to what it has. I am so thankful that I have a job I love! Addicted to Saving hit 100,000 Facebook fans in November which is just mind-boggling for me.
2013 was a crazy year for us. I traveled to Africa by myself and met my husband there (he was already there on a missions trip) in June. Together, we went to our son’s orphanage and met him for the first time. We spent a week with him and then returned home. I then went back to Africa by myself and this time flew with a one-way ticket planning on staying with our son until we were cleared to bring him home to the U.S. Together, Asher and I stayed in a guest house and then hotel for 2.5 weeks before we headed home. Our life as parents has just been amazing. I am so thankful to see where God has taken us.
I can’t wait to see where 2014 takes us! I hope that you had a wonderful 2013. If you didn’t, my hope is that this New Year will bring you a fresh start.
On a side note, we’ve been out of town visiting my in-laws and just returned home! You may have noticed that the deals, coupons and freebies slowed a bit since Christmas. We’ll be picking things up again and business will go on as usual. 🙂
