Hi Elise! Good comment – I know that most Publix locations will require you to reach $60 if you are using two coupons like you did so I just want you to know that what they told you is not wrong. The reason why is that Publix views competitor coupons much like manufacturer coupons in that you can only use one Publix store or one competitor coupon per item. So, if I bought a bottle of ketchup and wanted to use a Publix store coupon AND a Winn Dixie store coupon, I would have to choose which coupon to use because I couldn’t use both. Same thing for $5/$30 or $3/$30.. I would have to choose between both of them if I spent only $30.00. Or, like your store said, if you spend $60 you could use both. Hope I helped! This is actually not a very gray area with Publix. This is more of an accross the board policy.

I didn’t spend much over $30.00. SO, I used the $5.00 off from W/D and there was a $3.00 off for over $30. in the new store flier. I was then told:”If you want to USE BOTH COUPONS YOU NEED TO BUY $60.00 WORTH OF GROCERIES OR JUST USE 1 OF THEM”. Now this is not standard in my regular Publix and I went to the C/S counter, made my case and she said she would do it for me this time as I told her I knew she was going to give me a hard time when I REALLY SHOPPED w/my coupons! She laughed and said she didn’t thinks so! So much GRAY in the world of couponing……….LOL
