Sophie, I think the “payment” is just that it needs to be loaded on your registered Starbucks card. It should still come up as free. 🙂
How do you load this to your Starbucks Card? I can’t figure it out!
Kathy, take your registered card along with the above print out to Starbucks. The cashier will just enter the code on the print out and swipe your card to validate the one transaction/offer per person. No need to load anything. Now go enjoy that tasty beverage:)

Unfortunately the code didn’t work. The barista told me it had either been redeemed or was not associated with my registered card. I guess the code was only specific to a certain card. Thanks for sharing anyway though!
