My name is Liza and I began my money-saving journey in the Spring of 2009 as a way to stretch a limited household income. I had lost my job and my hubby was self-employed. I launched Addicted to Saving in November of 2009 and it has grown by leaps and bounds. Since then, my hubby and I have struggled with the ups and downs of two failed adoptions and are now LOVING being parents to our little man Asher who we brought home from Ethiopia in August of 2013. Don’t know what you are talking about because I think you were a GREAT! Love the work you do. I am a stay at home with a special needs son that requires care 24/7. It is so awesome to have someone help teach me how to save money so that we can live comfortably on one income. Keep up the great work.

I think you did great! I love the idea of video blogs. My ? is do you think you save enough on a regular weekly basis to make up for the 5 newspaper purchases? I’m guessing “yes” (LOL) or you wouldn’t do it. I get 2 papers right now, and am a little nervous about making the leap to purchase more.
Hi Kel! I’m glad you are enjoying the video blogs 🙂 I do make up the money i spend on newspapers each weekend. I always gather a total of 6 – 8 copies of each coupon insert each weekend and I always save much more money then I spend on the papers. I do live in an area where Sunday papers are cheap ($0.50 each). But, even if I had to spend more (I know it goes up to $2.50 for some areas) I would still be able to save enough money to cover the cost of the paper. Don’t be nervous! Start small. Start with getting 2 or 4 papers and then see what you think. Keep me posted!:)

I have some videos, just search or choose category “Free It Forward”. I try to do videos for a thing I call Free it Forward, {instead of “pay it forward”} where I try to teach and do something good at the same time 🙂 Check them out and tell me what you think!
