I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend! I apologize I’ve been m.i.a most of the weekend but I was kidnapped away by my husband. It is my birthday today and in honor of that, hubby thought I should NOT work at all. (until now.. someone has to do the upcoming Publix weekly ad & coupon matchups right? :)) I spent yesterday (Saturday) afternoon speaking and working at an event and after the event, hubby and I went to a nearby Italian restaurant that was rated #3 on tripadvisor.com. (If you haven’t checked out that website – it is awesome – average people like you and me rate restaurants, hotels, and more. It is our “go-to” website for recommendations when we go to new cities.) The restaurant had the most authentic Italian food – straight from Rome. And, their tiramisu was marvelous. Then, hubby took me to a hotel room he booked us. Not frugal at all but absolutely relaxing and worth every penny. We talked about staying an extra night but like I said, it wasn’t frugal and we also had to get back to reality. We kept the slider open all night and listened to the sound of the waves all night. For me, there is nothing more relaxing then looking and listening to the water. Oh – and if you are curious as to where we went, the picture below will give some of you a big hint. Any guesses? 🙂

yep I remember seeing that sailor kissing statue when we were in sarasota. I love the little amish place called yoders there… they have the BEST PIE !!!

We see that statue every year when we go to our timeshare on Lido Beach right off of St. Armand’s Circle. I’m not I recognize the Italian restaurant, but with 4 kids we cook in or eat out cheap! 🙂

Happy Birthday, you look so youthful and really was enjoying yourself and that is the way it should be. We will survive your “kidnapping” that was a beautiful gift. I am pretty sure your Hubby was thrilled. It is important to have someone show you how special you truly are! Thanks for all you do.
