Have you tried these bars yet? Last summer I tested these bars out and LOVED them. Make sure you read my review and head to Walmart to try them!
Are you fans of Girl Scout cookies? In my house, we are HUGE fans. Most years you will find me ordering anywhere between 6 and 8 boxes of cookies and while I want to say that the cookies last months and months, they are usually eaten within just a couple of weeks. When I was given the opportunity to try the new Nestle Crunch Bars in Girl Scout Flavors, I jumped at the chance. I love to try out new products and I especially love to try out foods that satisfy my sweet tooth!Go HERE to view my experience in pictures in Addicted to Saving’s Google + Album
Knowing that these bars are available for only limited time, I headed to Walmart to find Nestle Crunch Bars in Girl Scout Flavors. I have to admit, I had a difficult time finding the bars. I first looked for the bars in the grocery section of Walmart. Then I looked in the candy aisle. I ended up asking customer service who told me the bars are in many of the check-out lanes. Sure enough, the check-out lane I went to had lots of boxes of Nestle Crunch Bars in Girl Scout Flavors. I was excited to see that each bar is only $0.74! Not a bad price to pay for a candy bar that tastes like Girl Scout Cookies!
There are three flavors of bars to choose from. If you like Samoas Girl Scout cookies, you will definitely want to try the Nestle Crunch Bars in Caramel & Coconut (pictured above in the far left). Samoas are my absolute favorite cookie and this bar taste just like a cookie but a tad lighter. My hubby’s favorite Girl Scout Cookie is Tagalongs. The Nestle Crunch Bars in Peanut Butter Crème (pictured above on the far right) are an amazingly light and crispy version of the Tagalongs. And then there is everyone’s favorite cookie, Thin Mints. The Nestle Crunch Bar in Thin Mints (pictured in the center) will curb your cravings for the cookies. What I love about all three flavors is that they are light and airy. Each package is filled with two bars. You can eat the bars by themselves. Or, you can add the bars to ice cream like we did.
We are huge fans of ice cream – especially ice cream with has mix-ins in it. We found that a bowl of ice cream with a Nestle Crunch Bars in Girl Scout Flavors was the perfect late night dessert. To make this decadent recipe, you need two ingredients ? In a bowl, put a couple of scoops of your favorite ice cream. Top with crumbled Nestle Crunch Bars in Girl Scout Flavors or add a candy bar as a garnishment. Yummo.

What stores are carrying these candy bars I have yet to find them
Hi Mary,
I found them at Walmart but it was a really tough find. Had to get customer service involved. You can read the press release here – http://www.nestleusa.com/media/pressreleases/crgsnationaltresure, and maybe call/email to express your frustration at not being able to find a store that carries them.
