My name is Liza and I began my money-saving journey in the Spring of 2009 as a way to stretch a limited household income. I had lost my job and my hubby was self-employed. We have a simplehuman trashcan (large silver) with lid and we actually have to put our old “no lid” trashcan on top of it b/c our dog can get inside. The lids can still be lifted easily without pressing the foot button. I hope your dogs don’t figure this out like ours did!! It drives me crazy.
Oh no – Jerrica! I hope my dogs don’t figure it out too! My older dog is sickly so I don’t forsee him trying. But our one year old… He will do whatever it takes to get to food. Thanks for the heads up on this. I’ll have to start brainstorming on how to keep him from lifting the lid!
