So – I’m not a huge Valentine’s Day girl. Sometimes I think that once we have kiddos I will be more into the holiday. For tonight, we are going to have a quiet day and night – for dinner we will probably order in – either pizza (maybe using our free Papa Johns coupon code from Super Bowl) or if I get the gumption, I may make a nice meal although I need to thaw out meat or fish if I’m cooking. We’ll have to see where the day takes us 🙂
This morning hasn’t quite started off smoothly. Do you see the picture above? Can you tell what that is? Yes – a coffee up that is split down the middle. Hubby was kindly making me a cup of coffee and after pouring the coffee into the cup and filling it to the brim, he noticed it had a crack. Well, the next thing I heard was half of the glass dropping into the sink and coffee going EVERYWHERE. Fortunately our dogs weren’t in the kitchen at the time. We now have a sparkling clean kitchen floor after mopping up the spilled coffee. So that is definitely a perk of coffee spilling everywhere!
Hopefully our day goes smoother. And hopefully you have a smooth and wonderful Valentine’s Day as well! 🙂

I do have kids and am a stay at home mom, thanks to the help from your site. I had my 2yo in my bedroom and it is child proofed, well he figured out the lock to the door and got into his room. He got a hold of the baby powder and well, I had three rooms covered. Every time I called out to check on him, he would respond and stand in the door of the bathroom, I never had a clue until I came out. Of course I am thankful he didn’t get hurt, and it took a while to stop laughing.
Ohh – baby powder everywhere!! That must have been a challenge to pick up – I hope you took some pictures to remember this day! Too funny 🙂
Without reading the whole story first, I thought you intentionally broke a plastic cup to 2 and you’re going to hold them up together, then pour some juice to it and both of you will drink from it without spilling.
I’ve had the same type of morning! The only way to go is UP! Keep smiling!

That’s so crazy how it just cracked right down the middle! I’m with you on Valentine’s. We’re just not into it really. 🙂
Clean kitchen floor here too! LOL Came home after bugging out of work early to make my hubby a birthday cake (today’s his bday as well), I grabbed the vegetable oil out of the cabinet by the cap (that was not screwed on all the way) and spilled half a contained of oil all over the floor! Ah well, at least we can laugh about it now!
P.S. Soft Scrub on the floor got it right up – I thought I was in for some trouble!
Oh Erin – oil on the floor is worse than coffee! But at least you and I could eat off our kitchen floors now that they have been cleaned! 🙂
