Don’t Forget to Buy 2 Newspapers This Sunday!

This Sunday should be a great coupon insert day!  This Sunday we should see one RP (Red Plum) and one SS (Smart Source) insert.  My tip for you (as always) is to check your newspapers BEFORE you buy them to make sure they have all three inserts.  If you live in the Tampa Bay area, the St Pete Times has been notorious lately for leaving out inserts.  So, check your newspapers to make sure you are getting everything!  Also – remember that every region has different coupons so we may not see each and every coupon posted in the preview below.

Winn-Dixie has a good deal going this week I thought you all should know about!  In this week’s ad (6/9/10-6/15/10) if you spend $25 on P&G Products (over 200 participating P&G products) you can get $7 off your next shopping trip!  A catalina coupon will print at check-out for $7.00. So today I had expiring ECBs ($13.50 Extra Care Bucks to be exact) and I really wanted to do my best to purchase items that would give me more ECBs.  I did a somewhat decent job of that when I did the John Frieda & the Mylanta Deal.  How did you do this week at CVS?  Did you all score the FREE Skinny Cow Ice Cream?  (As you can see, I did not…)  My only complaint is how much I was taxed today.  I know that should be a minor complaint, but my total owed before tax was $0.17 but after tax my total was $1.47!

This picture is actually kind of humorous when I look at the lack of variety for my Target trip today.  All you see is Bounty, Eggo and then two lone green peppers.  I didn’t get green peppers during my Publix trip (go HERE) so when I saw how fresh they were at Target, I had to grab two!  I had a pretty decent trip today at Target.  I spent a bit more out of pocket than I would have desired, but I have enough Eggo waffles to last the next year (they don’t expire until 2011 AND I have a huge freezer :)) and I have more paper towels that were FREE!  Who doesn’t love FREE paper products!

I had a great day at Publix today!  I was able to get some veggies and utilize some great coupons I had burning a hole in my pocket.  I must say that looking at my picture I’ve posted, I realize that I only bought one item that was on sale B1G1!  As you probably know, that abnormal for me!  But, this week’s sale is only so-so and I ended up finding other deals utilizing the coupons I had.  When all is said and done, I ended up saving 99.2% which I will take any day!
