I had a fun but yet interesting trip at Publix yesterday. I am not finding this week’s Publix sale to be extraordinary but I had some coupons that scored me good deals and I was able to buy some veggies which I am in desperate need of. (I also need squash and broccoli but I wasn’t thrilled with Publix’s prices this week.) It was fun in the sense that I scored free Dove deororant, free Carefree pantiliners, free Olay Regenerist and free Hidden Valley dressing. I also bought a ton of Ziploc Bags but they are not pictured. My trip, however, was an interesting trip because first of all, I read a coupon incorrectly. This very seldom happens, but it does happen. So, my encouragement to you is to read each coupon and make sure you are buying the correct item with the coupon! The second reason this trip was interesting is because I had THE WORST experience with my cashier. WORST. He missed scanning $5.00 in Publix store coupons and $3.50 in manufacturer coupons – this is a total of EIGHT COUPONS he missed. I brought my receipt back to customer service and I am STILL waiting on Publix to fix the issue! The pricing below is based on the assumption that Publix fixes their errors. I spent $14.17 (including tax) on $169.87 worth of groceries! 🙂

This Saturday, May 8th from 10 am – 4 pm Publix will have an awesome activity for your kids! Your kids can go in and decorate an 8″ cake for Mother’s Day. Some Publix locations are giving the cake away free while others are charging a fee for the cake. **CALL AHEAD to see if your Publix is participating in this activity and to find out what the charge is. This Sunday is a quiet coupon insert day. There will only be one insert in the paper – a SS (Smart Source) insert. Remember to check your papers BEFORE you buy them to make sure the SS insert is included in the paper. In my area, the St Pete Times in particular has been extremely finicky lately and has only included the SS insert twice in the past three months. So, don’t pay for your papers until you are assured each paper has the SS insert!
Below is a list of the coupons we can expect to see in our papers. Don’t forget that coupons and inserts vary per region so we may not see each and every coupon in our paper! Also – if there is a coupon listed below that you do not receive in your paper, you can always buy it. There are coupon clipping sites that charge you pennies for coupons. So, keep that in mind too!
