Photo Show and Tell – CVS 1/31/10

I think this may be the first time I’ve  posted a CVS Photo Show and Tell.  CVS is one of my FAVORITE stores.  They are super coupon friendly, their staff is accomodating, they give out rain checks and overall, they are just really really easy to get free products at!

I spent $5.64 on all of the items above.  AND, I received $13.00 ECBs (Extra Care Bucks) to spend on future shopping trips.  In a sense, they paid me $7.36 to walk out of the store with all of the groceries/toiletries pictured above!  If you are new to saving money at CVS, read my Intro to CVS blog.

Here’s the rundown and how to do what I did for today’s CVS stop:

I started out with a $10.00 ECB, $6.00 ECB and a $5.00 ECB.  I decided to split my purchase into two transactions to minimize my out of pocket spending.

First Transaction:

2 Dove Men’s Care 13.5 oz, $5.49 each

Minus One $1.25 off Dove Men’s Care Body Wash or Scrubber 13.5oz+, RP 1/31

Total: $9.73

 

1 Colgate MaxFresh Toothpaste, $2.99 each

Minus One $1 off Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste, January All You

Total: $1.99

Total spent on first transaction including tax: $2.70 AND I received $10.98 ECBs for the two Dove Men’s Care and $2.00 ECBs for the Colgate Toothpaste!

Saved: $12.55

Second Transaction:

Total: $6.40

Minus one $0.50/1 Febreze Fabric Refresher “Refresh Your Nest” coupon booklet

1 Lee Fat Free Milk 1 Gallon, $3.19

Total spent on second transaction including tax: $2.94 AND I received $10.00 ECBs for spending $25.00 on P&G and Coke products and $3.00 ECBs for spending $10.00 on Unilver products!

Saved: $59.34

 

Grand Total: Spent $5.64 on $77.53 worth of groceries and toiletries.  (Saved $71.89 or 92.8% of the bill AND received $13.00 ECBs to use next time!)
