This isn’t much to show.. But, I wanted to give an example of when your plans fall through and what you can do when you have no coupons to use but yet you still want to save a ton of money… I went into CVS today with grand plans. I had my coupons organized in my envelope and my list ready to go. I was planning on using my $5.00 off of $20.00 coupon and I had just the right amount of coupons to use with just the right amount of ECBs so that I didn’t have to spend more than a dollar. Well………. that didn’t happen. My CVS was out of all of the good deals on my list. And, I still had ECBs that were expiring. So, here’s what I bought – can you tell I’m running a half marathon on Saturday?
3 Bottles of Gatorade on sale for $1.00 each Total: $3.00 10 Power Bars on sale for $1.00 each, wyb 10 (when you buy 10) you will earn $5 ECBs. Total: $10.00Grand Total: My total came to $13.21. I used my expiring $12.45 ECBs. Remaining balance after ECBs was 76 cents! I saved $21.42 which is 96.6% savings! (I used a CVS gift card I earned when I transferred a ____ to CVS so I actually spent no money out of pocket!) The best part of this deal is that I earned $5.00 ECBs so I now have more money to spend at CVS!!
P.S. Don’t forget that CVS gives rainchecks for items they are out of stock.
