I had an amazing day at Publix today. In fact, the picture above doesn’t adequately show everything I purchased. Publix has some awesome sales this week and if you have the right coupons, you should be able to do a great job! I went to two different Publix locations. The first Publix that I went to accepts Target store coupons and as you probably saw in this week’s ad, there are some awesome deals at Publix this week when you use Target coupons. So, I used my Target coupons at the first Publix and then went to my favorite Publix on the way home and finished up my shopping there. After both shopping trips, I spent a grand total of $6.44 and saved $277.81 🙂 I will separate each transaction so you can see exactly what I purchased at each Publix.

Didn’t do quite as good as you Liza, but my total today at Publix was…spent $12.83 including tax and saved $207.51!! Could never have done it without your exact directions so thank you so very much!! My husband thinks you’re a Goddess!

BTW my Publix had clearance Pantene products reduced to 2 for 2.59. Had 8 $1 off coupons & there were P&G coupons at the end of the health and beauty aisle for .55 cents off each also. They paid me 2.04 to take 8 bottles out of the store…gotta love it!!
The Publix at Curlew & 19 in Palm Harbor will accept all local grocers coupons including Target. They won’t take Walgreens or CVS. I also finally found that Summer Savings coupon book at the front of the store with the Buyers Advantage coupons!
I am wondering about the Stayfree B1G1 coupon on the Greeen Ad Flyer. It states LINERS and yet, I see that you bought PADS. I wish I had your kind of Publix mine won’t take anything except Winn Dixie and Alberson’s q’s (which btw they HATE their meat coupons!!)
Hi Lynette! I did get the pads, and the only reason I did is because the picture on the Green Advantage Flyer shows liners and a package of Maxi pads. I know what you mean about Winn Dixie and Albertsons.. My local Publix only accepts Winn Dixie coupons. That’s why I drove a little farther yesterday to go to a different Publix that accepts Target coupons 🙂
Ok I am new to this, so I am not fully understanding when you use the b3g1 coupons from target. I’ll use the planters flavor grove as my example so you bought two of the b1g1 deals and you were able to use two of $1/2 coupons and then one of the b3g1 coupons, am I correct?? It would come out like this 2.99+2.99=5.98-1-1=3.98-2.99=.099 for all four. Sorry I am just making sure I am reading it all correctly….Thank You!!!!

Liza, How long does it take you to prepare for a grocery shopping trip like this? I seem to spend hours the day before reviewing, making lists, collecting and organizing coupons.
Also, how long did it take you to actually shop? My shopping times have doubled since i started couponing.
Hi Cindy! I will answer your questions but keep in mind that I have been doing this for a while now so don’t get discouraged if I’m quicker than you.. Typically it takes me 1 hour to prepare my list/coupons/etc for each store. Then to shop, I am really speedy. I may actually be quicker now than before I started couponing strictly because I stick to my list now and I don’t get distracted by other sales, bags of Doritos, etc etc. You will get faster as time goes by. And, remember that if you saved $100 at Publix and it took you two hours to get your coupons together, shop, etc, then you were just paid $50.00 an hour! 🙂

Just unpacked my third batch of groceries from Publix in 2 days(good thing I live right around the corner)! My total spent is $33.68 with tax and saved $401.55! I NEVER thought I’d be able to do it, but now I’m addicted! I got meat, produce, and my pantry is stuffed for 6 months! Liza you’re a gem!!

Wow, awesome job Lisa! Thank you for sharing these great tips!! Quick question on the Phazyme, Vivarin, etc $5/2 Publix coupon. Can you do more than 1 of those deals per transaction? I have coupons for 6 sets of 2 but didn’t know if I would be able to use them all together. That would make for GREAT overage to help with other items!!
Hi Carmen! Thanks for the comment! You are correct that doing more than one deal per transaction will allow for lots of overage! It is really up to your Publix’s management. Some Publix locations only allow one per transaction while others allow for more. The ones I go to allow for more than one per transaction but I try not to go overboard because I don’t want to clear all of the shelves =) Great question!
I do the same thing Liza. I did 2 sets of 2 for myself so I wouldn’t clear the shelves in my Publix. I used my overage for fresh produce!

What does DND mean? I see this here a lot and and can’t figure it out. Great job @ Publix. Have to go tomorrow, but don’t need too much. The dip and a few other items will be it.
