Happy Friday! I’m so happy this week is over! It has been a really long week for me and I’m happy that the weekend is here! I had fun at Publix today – like always 🙂 Today was actually the first day I left the house since my surgery so walking around Publix was a bit interesting. Usually when I shop, I am in and out of the store in 30 minutes or less. But, today, my trip took a bit longer as I got distracted quite a bit and was just very slow walking around. I am SO disappointed that I didn’t print out the $2.00/1 Nestle candy coupon that I told all of you about at least 3 times. Hopefully you all printed it because you will get an outstanding deal on candy. Since I didn’t print it, I will be scanning the sales for candy deals in the next two weeks and I will keep you posted with what I find! Regarding my trip today, I will tell you up front – I spent more money on this one Publix trip than I have spent on any one trip all year. Part of me wants to be frustrated over that fact, but I was able to purchase 8 bags of coffee (we go through it like it is water), more of the Crunchmaster crackers (using a rain check) and I bought over $25 worth of P&G products so I can submit for another Cooking Up Early Detection kitchenware rebate set (using my mom’s info). So, I’m pleased. I still have veggies left from Jeff’s grocery trip last week and my freezer still has meat so yet again, I focused on sales and getting the kitchenware rebate.
**On a personal note, thank you to everyone who posted kind comments and sent me emails about my health. I am doing really well and I’m recovering nicely. I didn’t realize the surgery was going to be quite as extensive as it actually was so the entire experience has been extremely humbling. You all were so patient with me while I was away from my computer and I wanted to thank all of you for your kind words and prayers.
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.
If you are new to saving money at Publix, read my Intro to Publix post!
**NOTE** 1) My Publix allows us to use more than one of the same Publix store coupon and/or competitor coupon. Not all Publix locations allow this. You should ask customer service if they allow this before loading up your cart. 2) You should find out what stores your Publix considers competition so that you know what competitor coupons you can use. Some but not all Publix locations accept Target, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, Sweet Bay, Walgreens, and many more. 3) Not all Publix locations allow overage. If your Publix does not allow overage, they will adjust the value of the coupon down so that you receive the item for free.

Where did you get the Minus one $3.00 off wyb select P&G items Publix Store Coupon that you used on the Febreze Noticeables Warmers?
Liza says

Another fantastic trip! I wish we had a Publix.

My receipt also showed $2.50 off for the free 4C breadcrumbs. Where did they get that amount?
Teresa says
That amount is the max amount they are allowed to give off. The coupon says “up to $2.50” or something to that effect. For some reason, with this coupon it scanned right in. I used them today and the cashier was going to key in the amount like normal but since it scanned she left it alone.

Inside my Tornados box is a BOGO coupon that expires 12/31/2011. I am heating them in the oven right now…never tried them, I hope they are good!
Jamilla says
(The coupon is printed on the inside of the box so check your box before you throw it out.)

Has anyone in Pinellas county seen the Febreze items on sale? I went to my normal store today to pick those up and there weren’t any warmers on the shelf for one but for two none of the Febreze stuff was marked on sale. I’m wondering if it’s just that store.

Thanks for the post and picture Liza. I love seeing what everyone purchases. I had to go back to get the coffee mate, simply OJ and tornados deals that I missed on the first trip.
Jill says
I too love your picture. You come up with coupons and match ups that I don’t find on any of the other sites. Way to go!!!!
