Photo Show and Tell – Publix 10/7/11

I had a great day at Publix today!  I shopped at a different Publix today so I was a bit uneasy as to how they are accepting coupons.  But, they were great.  I had a couple of questions couponwise and they answered all of them.  The Publix I shopped at today accepts Target and Winn Dixie coupons so I was able to maximize a lot of the coupons and sales by using both a manufacturer coupon along with either a Publix store or a Target store coupon.  As a reminder, you should always find out what stores your Publix accepts as competitors.  I had a great day though!  Was able to get a bit of produce (we are going to be away for a couple of days traveling for my upcoming Addicted to Saving 101 class so I didn’t need much/anything for this weekend) and I started stocking up on canned vegetables and condensed soup.  *Tip* think ahead to the upcoming holidays.  If you make casseroles over the holidays, buy the ingredients when they are on sale and you have a coupon to match with it.  That way you don’t have to pay full price!

I have two disclaimers to make (what else is new? ;)).  First of all, I bought four Air Wick Ribbon Scents Candle.  I wasn’t sure if this type of candle is covered under the Publix store coupon so I asked customer service and they allowed it.  That said, your store may treat this differently so ask before purchasing.  And secondly, I bought four Covergirl Blush and used two $8/2 Covergirl Face Products coupon.  Some stores may give you a problem on this.  However, if you go to Covergirl’s website, you will see that under their Face Products category, blush is included.  I am telling you this so that if your store gives you a hard time, you can kindly (yes, kindly) tell them (or print out and show them) that blush is included under Face Products on their website.
