My cat is going to be SO happy with me. The one type of cat food she eats (the ONLY type of cat food she eats) is Purina Indoor Cat Food. So, I was very excited about the bags of cat food being on sale BOGO! I was also excited that I saved the $1.50/1 Smucker’s Jelly Coupons I posted about back on September 15th HERE. I saved the coupon hoping there would be a good sale and my persistance paid off. With my four $1.50/1 Smuckers coupons I was able to score Smuckers Jam for $0.09 each. Marvelous. The only major grocery item I needed today was cat food and Band-Aids. Everything else I bought because they were excellent deals. Oh – and to prove that I do in fact purchase produce, I took a picture of my grocery trip to Winn Dixie this morning. With a $25.00 gift card I received over the fall from transferring a ______, I was able to score all of the produce below FREE. Although – I should admit that I left my bag of grapes at Winn Dixie. So, yes, I will be going back there to pick up the forgotten bag UGH.
What deals are you taking advantage of this week? What are your favorite stockpile items in this week’s sale? I would love to hear how much you are spending and saving! Please leave a comment on this post filling me in on your deals as well as how much you spent and saved!
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.
If you are new to saving money at Publix, read my Intro to Publix post!
**NOTE** 1) My Publix allows us to use more than one of the same Publix store coupon and/or competitor coupon. Not all Publix locations allow this. You should ask customer service if they allow this before loading up your cart. 2) Not all Publix locations allow overage. If your Publix does not allow overage, they will adjust the value of the coupon down so that you receive the item for free.

Wow, you did great. I wish I could find coupons for Iams since that is the only dry food my cats eat. They also share one small can of wet food each night and even the coupons for that are hard to come since they go through 30 cans a month – we use either Whiskas or Fancy Feast.

We did our weekly shopping at Publix yesterday – total bill was $209.82 – we paid $100.40 which included $1.10 in tax – not a good as you do but I’d say slightly more than 1/2 off a large order isn’t bad 🙂

I did my shopping yesterday too. My total was $215.75 and I paid $59.14. Not too bad.

I was wondering what Publix you shop at. I live in Dunedin but the best Publix I’ve noticed so far is the one in Palm Harbor off 19 between Tampa rd & Nebraska. It’s been tough to find one that allows overage and recently expired Publix and comp. coupons. Also, I don’t think every employee is on the same page with their store’s policy because I’ve had one employee tell me something and another something else at the same store. But this one hasn’t been an issue yet and I’ve heard the store manager wants to keep customers happy. Just wondering if the one you shop is the same because you normally get great overage!
