Happy November! For my first shopping trip of the month I had a hugely successful day. I made two Publix shopping trips today. I went to my favorite Publix which is 2 minutes from my house and then I went to a Publix a little farther from my house because I had six $1.00/1 Target Produce coupons that expired tomorrow and the farther Publix accepts Target coupons. I got a ton of freebies and during my second Publix trip I actually had to buy a small package of sandwich crackers (they were $0.34) in order for the cashier to be able to use all of the coupons I gave her! 😉 My favorite deal that I took advantage of was the FREE Rubbermaid containers I was able to stock up on!! I am planning on making homemade chili and and these containers will be perfect to replace the older containers I have used day in and day out for storing leftovers. The thing I LOVE about couponing is that I never know what I am going to get free. I’m used to getting great deals on pasta, cookie mix, etc etc but freebies like Rubbermaid containers really make my day!
I am going to combine both transaction into one so that you can see everything easily but on my first trip I spend $2.36 and saved $68.66 and on my second trip I spend $0.14 – yes fourteen cents – and saved $47.66.
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.
If you are new to saving money at Publix, read my Intro to Publix post!
**NOTE**
1) My Publix allows us to use more than one of the same Publix store coupon and/or competitor coupon. Not all Publix locations allow this. You should ask customer service if they allow this before loading up your cart.
2) Not all Publix locations allow overage. If your Publix does not allow overage, they will adjust the value of the coupon down so that you receive the item for free.

Which MQ rubbermaid did you use? The ones I had were for the easy lids (the more expensive ones). I did get the easy lids ones at a great price.
Kim says
Our Publix only had 40% off rubbermaid, we don’t seem to get all the deals you get at your Publix! Lucky you! I love the Show and Tells!
Liza says
Oh Kim! Good catch! My Rubbermaid was 40% off too! The pricing in my Photo Show and Tell is correct but I did type up the sale wrong. 🙂
Lily says
What is “rainchecks” btw? for the coupons, I mean.
Lily says
And how in the world do you get so many coupons (like the 6 plus coupons?) Do you really buy 6 newspapers?! o.o
Lindy says
I am just starting out with the couponing (about 5 months now) and i buy 10 papers every week so i can build my stock pile and i do not have to buy very many coupons on clipping sites or on ebay
Kristin says
I like your photo show and tells! I always check to make sure I haven’t missed anything before I shop for the week.

I love the krusteaz cookies. Because of your blog I took advantage of that sale also and fell in love with those cookies. The chocolate chunks are my favorite. I am going to try to make 1 big cookie for my sons birthday. like the ones that they have at the mall. Wish me luck.
Liza says
That sounds like a great idea! Let me know how it turns out Chrystalm! 🙂
