I had a crazy busy day today. There are lots of fun things in store for Addicted to Saving and I can’t wait to fill you in on the new changes and fun surprises I have in store for you. But in the meantime, I will leave you in suspense and tell you that today was crazy. That said, I was able to make a quick trip into Publix and take advantage of a few of their sales. Did any of you take advantage of the Amy’s Fresh Delivery Groupon deal I posted about last week? I bought it and this Wednesday had fresh produce delivered to my doorstep. Would love to hear your thoughts if you ordered this deal too. Anyways, with all of the produce and all of my frozen meat stockpiled away I bought a few deals and had a productive shopping trip today. I also stopped on my way home from Publix and picked up a Toffee-Mocha at Starbucks using a gift card I received from Swag Bucks which despite having 1,500 calories was heavenly. I did forget to buy eggs which I am totally out of. Guess that means I will have to go back tomorrow. 🙂 Also – random side note – I have had a really hard time finding any coupon booklets lately. Have you all had this same problem?
What deals are you taking advantage of this week? What are your favorite stockpile items in this week’s sale? I would love to hear how much you are spending and saving! Please leave a comment on this post filling me in on your deals as well as how much you spent and saved!
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.
If you are new to saving money at Publix, read my Intro to Publix post!
**NOTE** 1) My Publix allows us to use more than one of the same Publix store coupon and/or competitor coupon. Not all Publix locations allow this. You should ask customer service if they allow this before loading up your cart. 2) Not all Publix locations allow overage. If your Publix does not allow overage, they will adjust the value of the coupon down so that you receive the item for free.

I just want you to know that I am totally addicted to those Wasabi Soy almonds, and I blame you. 😉
Liza says
Jennifer – I am so glad I am to blame for your new addiction! How good are they?!? The first thing I did after taking a picture of the photo show and tell was open up a can. YUM.
Beth says
There is also a .50/2 Country Crock Target printable.
Liza says
Hi Beth! You are right! I shopped at a Publix that doesn’t accept Target coupons so I couldn’t use that coupon. That said, if you use the coupon with the two $0.40/1 manufacturer coupons you will get an awesome deal!

Love it- my Baldwin Park store has two booklets right now- the blue “start your year out with big savings” and the blue “save over $35 today” sc johnson booklet. No calandars 🙁 and they have just stopped taking CVS and Wags- said they never took DG or FD–but they had taken them in the past–and now they will only take expired publix q’s if they are less than a month expired :(–but there is a new store opening soon that is right across from target–can’t wait to find out if that store will be more coupon friendly
Amy says
I am wondering what memo Publix sent out. Was able to redeem a walgreens coupon there yesterday, but today was told that they did not take them. I called another Publix and was told that they would take coupons from Walgreens, but no price matching. The cashier looked at a letter next her register questioning the walgreens coupons. Also having a hard time finding coupon booklets…
BRANDI says
Why can’t I find any of the Kotex coupons if they were available on the 16th?? I have searced 20 different sites and nobody has them available.
Liza says
Hi Brandi – the coupons may have been regional? Maybe that is why? Where are you located? I just checked one of my favorite coupon clipping sites and CouponDede.com has the Kotex coupons for $0.15 each.

I have been wondering when those calendars are coming. I found one booklet SAve Over $35 Today, but they say MF coupons without bar code and with a Publix code…hmm..
I would like to invite you to link up your savings at the Weekly Savings Linky @ Frugality Is Free , you can win a free ad space too!
Amanda (Saving Myself Silly) says
ON that saving myself silly post above, I meant to say 1/21 on CVS 😉 Thanks fo the link up!

I stocked up on Ragu-but the Cheese one. I was able to make beer cheese soup with it. You can do a lot with cheese as a base.

I also have had a hard time finding booklets in the Dunedin/Palm Harbor area. Hmmm. Also, I sent my husband to Publix today for a few things, including the Sundown vitamins, but he said he couldn’t find any at $2.99. He said the cheapest were around $5-$6. Do you find them in a special place???
Teresa says
I’ve had the same problem. I usually find either Caldesi or the new one at Alt 19 & Alderman usually have the booklets. I usually call first and they’ll hold them for you. The $2.99, I believe are Vitamin A, and you have to look pretty close for them. At my regular store they are the only Sundown in the Vitamin A section and there is usually something hanging very near or in front of them.
Carolyn H. says
Thank you so much! I LOVE that Publix at Alt 19 & Alderman.. so new and nice. Also pretty coupon friendly, at least my one time experience there. 🙂

I took advantage of the van’s waffles that they have on sale at publix this week B1G1 free making each box $1.49 each. Also I bought four of the Scott Long lasting roll paper towel which are on sale for $2/5. I used the publix coupon for $1.50 off thats in the new blue booklets from last sundays newspaper that says Start your year out w/big savings. The final cost for the each roll of paper towel was $1.15 which I think is an awesome deal b/c these rolls are huge it says 1=3 on them. I am looking for a printable scott single roll paper towel coupon now to make this deal even sweeter. Also they made me surrender the scott paper towel coupon even though its soppose to be a publix coupon which they normally just type in the code for the coupon and let you keep it w.the publix coupons. So I drove to 2 other publix stores looking for booklets so I could get more of that coupon and luckily one of them had some. Did anyone take advantage of the 50% all kellogg’s cereal (sat./sun. only 1/21-1/22) deal
Teresa says
I found the booklets in a turquoise/aqau cardboard stand alone (matches the booklet color) located at the Customer Service desk (facing the aisles not facing door). It wasnt in my Publix in Dunedin but at the Publix on corner of US19/Curlew. I picked mine up on Wednesday from there.
