We have had another busy week and yet again I waited until the last minute to go grocery shopping. We’ve been working a lot on our adoption paperwork for our Haiti adoption and it seems that we have such a neverending list of things to do (adoption and non-adoption related) that life is a little overwhelming. I love lists and I love crossing out items on the list. Right now I just don’t see our list shortening – instead it seems to get longer by the second. I don’t know if that is what happens when you are grown up? Hubby and I took a break from life and had a date night at Publix (so NOT romantic – let me tell you). We ended our date with making a frozen pizza for dinner. Gotta love it! I didn’t have the most success today at Publix. While there are some good sales, I wasn’t overwhelmed with them. And, I did spend more then I would have liked to today. My husband wanted me to get two of the POM drinks which were a deal but not that good of a deal. Same thing for the Resolve. I was SUPER excited for the Weiman Stove Top cleaner sale. I’ve never tried this product before it was a great deal and I’m always trying to keep my glass-top clean.

Hey Liza,
Congrats on a nice shopping trip! If you try the Weiman before the sale ends, let me know if you like. We have a stainless steel fridge, but we’re not super-low on cleaner for it yet, but that’s a good price.

I bought those wipes before they went on sale and we love them!! I bought the canister, cleaned the fridge then finished with a paper towel, it looked like new!! Hope this helps.

This week Publix was not a good trip at all for me. I only went to pick up a few items, when I got to the register, I asked a question about my beyond because I want sure if I could use all of what I had or not. It turned you I could not which was fine. The cashier had to ask the quadrant manager because she was unsure just as I was.. The assistant manager came over with an attitude and I grabbed my coupons, my son and left everything there. I have never done that in my life. Hopefully next week at my normal publix will be better.

I have had that happen before when I went to a different Publix because traveling to mine was out of the way. It was like they were in outerspace and had no idea how couponing works. I have decided to stick with where I know. It is worth the gas to leave feeling good about my trip. Better luck next time to you!

I got the Alexia potatoes today. They aren’t on sale but I believe they are $3.39 a bag and then I had a $1.25 Q and a $1.00 Target Q so not bad. Also found the Kettle chips in my store and was able to use a $1.00/1 mfQ and a .75/1 Sweetbay Q so the were .75 cents a bag. Got 6 of the Barilla pasta sauce .48 cents a jar. Oh and the 4 packs of Activia. Had (4) $1/1 qs and 2 $2/2 Target qs. Made then $1 a four pack. Whats not to love? 🙂

Diana’s Deals is mostly about baby finds but I post every so often about other stuff. My week turned out pretty good! Did you know Publix will take 10 internet coupons of the same kind as long as they have different numbers?
Susie says
Liza, you asked if anyone had tried the Gardein products. My daughter is vegan so I’ve tried a few of the “fake meat” products out there. Everyone agrees that Gardein has the best-tasting “chickun”. I’ve only tried the lightly seasoned scallopini chickun breasts, but with this week’s sale, I’m planning on picking up a few more varieties. The scallopini is delicious made as chickun Marsala and picatta, the two recipes I’ve made with them. Hope the others are as tasty!

Glad to see you got the Cruncy Nut…the best cereal .. yumyum!

Just found your site and I can’t wait to browse through it. 🙂 Awesome shopping trip!

I was able to take advantage of a great deal today at my Publix! The Publix coupons for $2/1 Cheerios were still in the store and I had $1/1 manufactures coupons. I got $0.50 overage for every box I took out of the store! And the new Mulitgrain Peanut Butter Cheerios are fabulous if you haven’t tried them! 🙂
Cassi says
I thought the 2.00 pq was only good on plain cheerios and one other variety?
