I am definitely loving Publix’s Italian Days sales! Today is the first time I bought Progresso Soup with their sale. Last week I focused on Green Giant and Progresso Beans.. Well, today I diverted my attention to the soup and Hunt’s tomatoes. Remember that if you are going to do the Italian Days scenarios you need to find out how your Publix handles the Italian Days coupons. Each store has different policies so find out your store’s policy first before you start shopping.
There are a lot of great coupon scenarios for this week’s Publix sales. For example, buy Doritos – save money on Pepsi, buy Pepperidge Farm Bread – save money on produce, buy Uncle Ben’s Brown Rice – save money on beef. LOVE IT. The Pepperidge Farm deal was my favorite – if you are going to buy produce then buy the bread and use the coupon to save $1.50 off produce!
What deals are you liking this week? Did you find any steals that I missed?
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.

**Disclaimer**
1) My Publix allows us to use more than one of the samePublix store coupon and/or competitor coupon. Not all Publix locations allow this. You should ask customer service if they allow this before loading up your cart.
2) Not all Publix locations allow overage. If your Publix does not allow overage, they will usually adjust the value of the coupon down so that you receive the item for free.

Not sure why i cant print anymore of those coupon sheets from click mail call…i login and gives me a blank screen…i am really needing the green giant coupons… do you know if you print off then log out it then wont let you print anymore?
Liza says
Hey Teresa! To my knowledge there isn’t a print limit but I am not sure… Does your Publix have the coupons hanging on a display? Mine has the sheets hanging on a cardboard display by the Italian Days sales items… Maybe you could ask your customer service if they have the coupons?
Teresa 2 :) says
That was actually going to be my suggestion. When I called my old store to see if they would take the printed version I was told that they had those sheets sitting on the managers desk so there would be no reason to print them out. They didn’t have them on display anywhere so I had idea that they even had them. She told me to go to customer service to ask for them.

Liza, thank you so much for your weekly Photo Show and Tell! This post is so helpful to me in planning my shopping. You always give me ideas of great deals to add to my Publix list. I really appreciate the time you take to type it all out!
Carolyn says
I always shop the later part of the sale and look forward to seeing your deals early in the sale so I can plan my trip! Wow, that is some AMAZING savings!!!

It was great bumping into you at Publix today Liza! We really got some great deals! I’m loving the fact they let us combine the $1 off fresh beef coupons together. I also chose the ground chuck and used my produce coupon for fresh peppers, so I’ll be making stuffed peppers tomorrow….my favorite!
I must say….I am officially out of room! I stocked up on all the Italian Days deals so my pantry is full for a while!
My total in 2 transactions at Publix….spent $20.84 total with tax included and saved $220.28!!
I did take some pics before putting it all away but needed to do 3 seperate ones due to getting SO much!
Thanks again for all you do Liza…you’re a gem 🙂

Lisa,
Which store do you shop at?
Holly L. says
Awesome job! I love shopping Publix and seeing what all everyone else gets on their shopping trips!!!
Steve says
I noticed you used the $1.50 off Publix Bakery Bread coupons on your purchase of canned tomatoes not sauce or paste as specified on the coupons. How did you manage that?
Liza says
Hey Steve! I asked my store if I could use that coupon and they allowed it because one of the $1/4 Hunt’s Publix Italian Days coupons showed diced/canned tomatoes in the picture.. This is definitely one of those coupons I would ask your customer service to see how they would handle it.. Great question!
Amy says
Hey Liza, How were you able to use the 1.50 off bread wyb 6 hunt’s tomato sauces or pastes when you bought tomatoes?
Thank you!
Liza says

Hey Liza, Wish my Publix had a coupon policy like your store! Looks like they let you use manufacturer coupons and 3 store coupons on each can of Hunt’s tomatoes ($1/4, $1.50/Bread and $5/20). Still don’t understand why they allowed the $1.50/Bread coupon since it says sauce and paste and shows pictures of sauce and paste cans (not tomatoes).
Liza says
Hey Steve – I do shop at a generous Publix.. Oddly enough, though, my store will not let me use the $1/4 Hunt’s AND the $5/20 together. So, the Hunt’s I was able to use the manufacturer and the $1/4 store and then the $1.50 off coupon they took off the price of the bread.. But they will let me use the $1/4 Green Giants and $1/4 Progresso along with the $5/20.. They allowed this because of the wording on the coupons.. Totally confusing and I told my store’s manager that. And, I did tell him they were letting me double up on store coupons but as long as they allow it and realize they are allowing it, I will take advantage of the deal 😉

Lisa,
I just had to drop you a quick note…your deal on Hartz Dog Bisquits caught my eye even though you said you had a rain check. So I decided to check them out. Well, they were no longer on sale as BOGO, but they were still $2.99. I had my $2/1 coupon, plus there was a peelie on the box for $1 off, so I got the box for free.
I’m going to see if my dog likes them, and then go back for more! Thanks for the tip!!

THanks so much for the couponing bible you’ve created! 🙂 I started on your blog about a year or so ago through the recommendation of a friend and since have attended your workshop and became officially ‘addicted’. My husband laughs because I have my coupon box seat belted in my back seat. 🙂 I never knew I could save so much and it helped us through a very difficult time. Thanks to you, I started my first blog! 🙂 Thanks for everything you’ve done for so many of us!
