Whew! This week flew by! Made a very quick Publix run this morning. I had some coupons expiring 3/31 that I wanted to use and there were a couple sales items I wanted to stock up on! I bought four of the Philadelphia Cooking Cremes. I haven’t tried them yet so will be interested to see how I like them! Have you tried them yet? I also bought another box of Mrs. T’s Pierogies because they are one of my new favorite quick fix meals! (P.S. I had such fun chatting with so many of you on Addicted to Saving’s Facebook page about how you all prepare your Pierogies! The Italian in me has no concept of Pierogies so I learned a lot from all of you! :)) I definitely wasn’t on my “A Game” today though because as I was going through my envelope of coupons while shopping in Publix, I realized the $0.75 off Colgate coupons and the $0.55 off Lay’s coupons were sitting at home on my piano bench right where I left them after cutting them! So, I wasn’t able to stock up on Colgate and get a couple of bags of chips like I planned. I know a lot of you purchase similar items to me so make sure you take advantage of the Colgate deal – even if you don’t use Colgate toothpaste you will only spend $0.25 per tube of toothpaste and this would be awesome to donate or give away. Also – there is a great deal on fresh green beans, zucchini and yellow squash which I would highly recommend you take advantage of!
I also wanted to post a raincheck lesson.. If you use a rain check, make sure your cashier does not start ringing through the items you are purchasing with your rain check until you give him/her your rain check. My cashier started ringing the dog treats through and then had to cancel those treats before ringing them up a different way using the rain check. And then when I got into my car, I realized I was overcharged because two of the bags were not cancelled.. Long story short, I had to go to customer service to get reimbursed. Not a big deal but it definitely made my quick shopping trip not as quick as it could have been!
I also wanted to give all of you a head’s up that my husband and I will be away for a couple of weeks. Don’t worry – nothing is wrong – everyone is healthy and well. We will actually get to see his sister who is currently a missionary/teacher in Africa. She is leaving Africa for a short time so we are excited to get caught up with her a bit. So, here is what will happen while I am away. My friend Kelly will be helping me out. She will post all of the weekly coupon matchups that you have come to expect. You shouldn’t see any differences in the ads and matchups. She will also post a few great deals each day. The only difference is that she will not be working 10+ hours a day like I do. 🙂 If you find deals, coupons, coupon booklets, etc etc that you think should be posted, please email them to addictedtosaving at hotmail.com (all one word – use the @ sign instead of how I typed out “at”). You never know, Kelly may post a few of your deals! I will be back April 6th and I will start my time back with a couple of great giveaways.. want a sneak peek.. I’m thinking about giving away some high value fruit coupons, a great nutrition book written by one of “The Doctors” and then a surprise courtesy of me. 🙂 Oh – one more thing – Kelly will post her own Photo Show and Tell for the next couple of weeks so you will get the privilege of seeing a different couponing perspective! I personally can’t wait to see what she buys! 🙂
What deals are you liking this week? Did you find any steals that I missed?
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.

**Disclaimer**
1) My Publix allows us to use more than one of the same Publix store coupon and/or competitor coupon as long as I use one store or competitor coupon per item. Not all Publix locations allow this. You should ask customer service if they allow this before loading up your cart.
2) Not all Publix locations allow overage. If your Publix does not allow overage, they will usually adjust the value of the coupon down so that you receive the item for free.

Where do you find the Food Should Tast Good chips? I’ve looked in a couple Publix stores with no luck. Thanks!
Kari says
Have a time away!! You deserve it!! 🙂
Kim says
I paired the $1.50 Philadelphia Cooking Cream coupon with the $1 Winn Dixie store coupon in the Spring Forward for Savings booklet to get 50 cents overage on each! Yea!
Kristin says
The coupon in the Winn Dixie book for the cooking creme is a manufacturer’s coupon so that was incorrect usage to stack them.
Shanda says
The Winn Dixie coupon I have for $1 off is a Winn Dixie Coupon… it says retailer coupon on it with Winn Dixie
Kristin says
Yes, but it has a manufacturer’s barcode and redemption information. If you look again, you’ll see that the other actual Winn Dixie store coupons have different barcodes than the cooking creme coupon. It’s a manufacturer coupon, but only you can be comfortable with your use of coupons.
cynthia says
Liza, you’ll be greatly missed these next few weeks! Enjoy your family time….there’s NOTHING more important than that 🙂
Bri says
Liza, my Publix had a “Who Loves You? coupon book with coupons for pet items. Anyone else seeing these?
Teresa says
I grabbed some of those last night! They were on some cardboard stand at the end of an aisle and I almost missed them!
Bri says
Yes, I found it at the end of the pet isle. Great if you have pets!
Also, Liza there is a $1 off coupon for Mrs. T’s on their website.
grace says
Thanks for the linky. I have shared my shopping trips. grace
Mabel White says
I use that cooking cream as dip mix! And yes, Liza is already missed. I do not know how she puts out as much work as she does. “Every day” is very hard to do. KUDDOS LIZA!
