**Today’s shopping trip coincides with this week’s Publix 3/25/10 – 4/3/10 sale cycle. To see this week’s Publix sales and coupon matchups, go Here! Today was a tough day at Publix. I have a friend who hates it when I write “today was a slow day”, so instead, I will write “Today was a tough day”. I am in desperate need of produce so, while the deals on produce weren’t outstanding, I stocked up a bit. The problem with my produce selections is that I bought the Fresh Express salad that was B1G1 – AND I screwed up!! In Florida, we have to buy 2 items when there is a B1G1 sale. I only got one bag of lettuce! So, I spent $3.69 on one bag and forgot my free bag. OOPS!! **Update – I just got back from Publix and they gave me my second bag of lettuce with no hesitation. I love Publix!! I also had quite a few coupons expiring 3/31 so I bought 2 dozen eggs, more Yakisoba noodles, the Nabisco cracker because the coupons were high enough that I didn’t want them to go to waste. All in all, I guess I did pretty good. But, I truthfully can’t remember the last time I spent over $15.00 so I’m a bit disappointed. Nonetheless, I spent $25.75 and saved $102.67 on everything in the picture above. Also – in case you are wondering (I know you are because I receive many emails about this) – I haven’t bought meat in a while. That is because my freezer is jam packed with chicken breasts, ground sirloin and ground turkey. I stock up on meat when it is at rock bottom prices and then freeze it. So, yes, we eat protein – I just have the luxury of not buying it until it’s on sale since I have so much in my freezer! 🙂

When you go back to Publix next show them your receipt and they will give you the free bag of salad, even if the sale has ended. They are awesome like that. Same thing if you forgot to use a coupon and bring your receipt and coupon back in. 🙂
seriously ur dissapointed u had to spend more than 15.00. thats just crazy. but congrats on ur savings!i feel blessed to save what i do ea week. thank the lord for ur blessings instead of being disappointed
