Well – this week came and went quickly! This past Sunday, I took my husband to Orlando to celebrate his birthday a couple of days early and being gone all day and then working on the Publix ad all Sunday night threw my week off a bit. I never quite got caught up! We’ve also been making a lot of plans for my upcoming Addicted to Saving Seminar in Clearwater on April 26th. (Go HERE for more info.) So with lack of sleep, birthday celebrations, work and life, I’m tired!
We went to Publix together this evening (yup – another Publix date night) and while we saved a lot of money ($170), we also spent a lot of money! In fact, I think I spent the most money today that I have all year! There are some great sales though and some of the sales – even with coupons – still cost a lot. And, I’m starting a 10 day juice fast tomorrow morning so I made sure to get some produce and I also plan on going to Winn Dixie to get more produce with some gift cards I’ve had stashed away for a while. Thank you to everyone who left comments on Addicted to Saving, facebook and via email with recipes for juice recipes. **feel free to leave a comment on this post with your recipes if you have more to share! You all have inspired me to try this juice fast out! (Well, the movie Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead really inspired me. I figure that if juicing can cure some people of autoimmune disorders, maybe it can help some of my ailments. I’m hopefully optimistic and will keep you all posted on how it goes!)
Oh – and if you missed the adorable picture of my 5 month old puppy Louie that I posted on Addicted to Saving’s Facebook page earlier today, below is him sitting on our couch like an old man. Hasn’t he gotten big since I posted about him last? 🙂

I love your dog! Sooo cute! I am wandering if the French’s Fried onions are any good and what do you use them for?
Thanks,
Lisa

**wondering**

Hi Lisa! Isn’t my dog the cutest! He is a handfull sometimes but deep down he is such a good boy 😉
Personally, I use French’s Onions on Veggie Casserole which is the same thing as Green Bean Casserole. (The only difference is I use frozen veggies like broccoli, cauliflower and carrots :)) We usually make the casserole for holidays. My husband likes the onions on top of salads, burgers, etc. They are really good and this is the best deal I have seen in a while. They usually go on sale around holidays but this price is even better then their sales price over Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hope that helps!

Lisa – The French’s Fried Onions are great! I use mine to bread chicken breasts and bake in oven — put fried onions in a baggie and smash before breading chicken breasts. My 11 year old son says my chicken is the BEST – LOVES them! Has no idea what the breading is 🙂 So, buy & try!!

Not much help telling you now but for others I believe there is a $1/2 Hershey’s 6-pk seasonal Target coupon on Targets website.
Also just wanted to say I love your Publix show and tells! After looking at other breakdowns it really makes me appreciate the way you do it. It is very clean and easy to use.
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Lisa! Thanks for the kind comment – I’m glad you enjoy my Photo Show and Tells! Now.. regarding the $1/2 Target coupon.. I totally forgot about that coupon when I put together my list! We may use that Target coupon as an excuse to go back for more 😉 Or – I wonder when the Target coupon expires.. Maybe I will hold onto it for after Easter (if it hasn’t expired then) to use on after Easter sales! 🙂
Meredith says
I see that you bought the Reese’s Eggs and you did not use a coupon. There is a coupon on the Target website under the Easter section for $1/2 with the purchase of two select 6-pk. Easter chocolate candy items. From the picture I think that is what you bought.
Addicted to Saving says
I totally missed the Target coupon!! What a bummer! Thank you for pointing it out though – I will relay the message to my husband who may use the coupon as an excuse to buy more 😉

I love your dog, he is so cute. Both of my little one’s (one human, one canine) are doing the same as he is only I can not tell if he is sleeping. Usually they nap together in the crib, but today is a couch lazy day here.
