I had a very quick trip to Publix today. I had the new $5.00 Scrubbing Bubbles coupons burning a hole in my pocket and I wanted to get a few bags of Steamfresh veggies. Mission accomplished 🙂 Since Publix’s weekly sales ad is continuing through this Saturday, I didn’t have a huge grocery week. **To see this week’s Publix ad & coupon matchups, go HERE! I spent a total of $3.34 (including tax) and saved $45.20!

From what I understand, the scrubbing bubbles is also included on the SC Johnson $5 rebate. So, purchase 3 and submit for $5 rebate, more overage! Yay! My publix only had 2 of the bottles so I plan to make another trip Friday (they usually stock up on Fridays).

I went to Publix today for a quick stop and wanted to purchase the Scrubbing Bubbles and some bathroom tissue. For the Scrubbing Bubbles I presented the MQ ($5/1), and Publix Q ($3/1). For the tothe bathroom tissue, I presented 1 target Q and 1 MQ. The cashier refused to do accept my manufacturer coupon for the scrubbing bubbles saying that the Publix coupon mentionned that it cannot be combined with any other offer. I argued my case with her without positive results. Also, she did not want to accept my Target coupon for the bathroom tissue (my store normally accepts Target coupon as competitor).I thanked her and left without purchasing anything. I encoutered several refusals the last few weeks at different locations(twice with Sundown vitamin “D”). I love Publix and I am respectful of their coupon policy. I try to shop when it is not peak time, since using coupons takes a little longer to process. I surely want to have good relationship with the employes, but also want to stand up for myself. Has anyone encountered this kind of behavior lately? Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Michelle,
I had the same issue with publix on Saturday night i had two .50 cents coupons to use with the bogo lysol and
2/$5 coupons and 2/$3 publix coupon, one chicken and one 5/$25 coupon from rite aid my store accepts rite aid coupon as a competitors coupon..Now i am at the check out the cashier decides to give me a hard time she went through each item on the counter double read each coupon then says WHAT IS THE $5.00 COUPON FOR?,,,My reply publix store policy is one can use a store coupon with a mac coupon fair enough she called over the manager explain to her what;s going on low and behold the manager said yes that’s correct Cashier says And she also have a rite aid COUPON Manager said yes and puts in it…Cashiers just make you feel like you are doing things wrong,Make a stand once the coupon is valid i have my expiration dates have not passed and they are not illegal coupons i don’t worry…A long line was building up behind me by this time,,but that’s where i shop i know the rules..got all my items including a chicken for a total of $1.68…After all they are going to get paid from the mac company ..
Happy Easter He is alive ya’ll..
