Have you gone grocery shopping yet this week? I was pretty pleased with my trip today. Last week we had friends over and we sent them home with at least 60% of the food in our large freezer in the garage so it was fun to go shopping this week and fill some of all of that empty space again! It was interesting to look in my grocery cart today because almost everything was refrigerated or frozen! I’ve talked about my stockpile in the past and we still have tons of frozen chicken to live off of but our ground beef stockpile is running low. So I am excited that Zaycon Foods is bringing ground beef to their next event so I can stock up on it. Many of you ask me each week how long it takes to get a stockpile sufficient enough to live off of. I think on average, it should take you about 3 – 4 months to get a stockpile large enough that you can cook off of it every day/night. Once your stockpile becomes large, will have the luxury of only buying items when they are dirt cheap as well as the staples you need each week like fresh dairy and produce!
NOTE – you will see pictured on my kitchen table, two boxes of Nestle Drumsticks Ice Cream Cones. (they are pictured behind the Smart Ones) DO NOT get those two boxes. They are not included in the sale. For the first time in over a year, I will be returning groceries that I purchased. I can’t live with keeping them knowing each box cost 6.99 🙁
How did you do this week shopping? I hope you were able to spend less and save more than I did! Please leave a comment letting everyone know how you did!

You forgot your Nestle drumstick deal. I see it in the picture

If you bring them back they will have to destroy them, that would be wasteful and raise all our grocery prices. If it was their mistake I can understand, if it was yours well then you take the loss.Your choice though.

We got those drumsticks on the last BOGO sale a couple weeks ago. They were super yummy. This BOGO sale we got the triple chocolate variety since they didn’t have the cookie dipped in the smaller package.

I am so confused with Publix’s dollar off cpn policy. There policy says “Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor coupon per order. The order total must be equal to or greater than the total purchase requirements indicated on the coupons(s) presented.” I have been using the $5/30 winn dixie cpn combined with a Publix dollar off cpn on a $30 purchase and for the first time, I was told I would have to spend $60 (each cpn had a purchase requirement of $30) to use both cpns. Then I went to customer service, and one person there said I could use both on a $30 purchase and one said I couldn’t. I am all for following cpn policies, but I think if you had to spend $60 to use both those cpns, the policy wouldn’t state that you could use both a Publix and a competitor cpn per order. If you did have to spend $60, then they should of just made it to say that dollars off cpns cannot be combined or limit 1 dollars off cpn per the required purchase requirement on the cpn. I’m so tired of one person taking both and someone else saying you can’t do that.
Lauren says
As far as I’ve always known, if you had a WD coupon and a publix coupon and both said $ off of $30, then you had to spend the total amount of both coupons which is $60. I’ve never seen or heard of anyone being able to use both off of a $30 purchase.
Brittany says
You have to spend $60. There is one dollar off store and competitor coupon allowed per transaction. You have to spend the total of the two coupons to get the discount. Basically you can’t use 2 publix coupons and 1 winn dixie coupon, only 1 of each. If you read the quote you posted from the policy it clearly states this information. Your order total must be equal to or great than the purchase requirements on the coupon. If you want $5/$30 you have to spend $30. If you want to use one store and one competitor $5/$30 you have to spend $60 to save $10. I can assure you this is their policy. I am a publix shopper and I have 3 family members that work at Publix. If someone tells you that you only have to spend $30 then they are uninformed and don’t know what they are talking about. You have to spend $60 BEFORE coupons so give them those two coupons first and then deduct the other coupons afterward. Honestly Publix is awesome for letting us use both so you should just appreciate the fact that they let you save $10 off.

They always let me use two at the Publix in Valrico, Fl. The only time they give me grief is if I have two publix.. but they STILL take them both.
