I had a fun time at Publix today. I LOVE The Quantum Finish Dish Detergent Deal. LOVE IT. I have four more coupons and will be going back to score more boxes of detergent for $0.99 each. The Eggo Pancakes deal is of course amazing but as you know if you follow my website, I have enough Eggo to last until the end of time. I am thrilled about the Rosetto Ravioli deal – it wasn’t dirt cheap or a stockpile price, but I LOVE Ravioli and now know that my agenda next week will somehow include making my homemade sauce with meatballs and sausage. Yum. I am going back to Publix on Monday to score some of the great produce deals (in particular the cherries). Until then, my husband and I are going to be in and out of the house and I didn’t want to buy them and chance them going bad. How did you do this week at Publix?
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.

you always do so good!!! I saved 75% today. I didnt buy any extra papers this past sunday so I missed out on the razor overage! Today I bought more kraft chipotle mayo (it had a great expiration date finally!), and finally found the emerald trail mix! I bought 4 finish gel packs, 6 eggo pancakes, 4 contessa frozen meals, 2 ravioli, 4 lance crackers, 2 more crystal farms better n eggs (did you know they freeze!) I cant remember everything. I spent $38 and saved $116.
I’m new to this, and there’s something I don’t understand. You bought six Eggos and used 6 coupons. But the Eggo coupons were $1.00 off 2. I noticed on the ravioli you had a coupon for $1.50 off 2, and you only bought 2. Could you have used another coupon for the ravioli, or did you use too many on the Eggo?
Thanks for your awesome site. I’m learning sooooo much!
Jennifer thank you so much for the catch! I used the correct amount at Publix (three store and three manufacturer )but made a major typo when I typed up the Photo Show and Tell! I just changed my post. So sorry for the confusion. When the coupon is $1.00/2 you can only use one coupon on two items so no, I couldn’t have used another on the Ravioli!
OK, thanks for clearing that up. Like I said, I’m new at this and I’m trying to learn all the “rules.” Thanks again for all you do on this site!
awesome; I am so imitidating you on this shopping trip
picked up 4 more razors, didn’t really need them but couldn’t pass up free plus overage!
I spent $30 and saved $121 – used some Dr. Scholl’s Rite Aide and manufacturer Q’s; always get the Eggo products while they’re on sale, and the 9 Lives cat food! $1.25!!! 🙂
I just started couponing, so this is my first WOW experience. I spent 15.14 and saved 60.81.
I hate to say it, but wow that is a lot of processed food. Trans fat in the Eggos. HFCS in the Fiber One. I love couponing, but hate when the only good deals are on unhealthy foods.
Kate – I know. When I was shopping today I thought about buying fresh produce to “even” the picture out a bit because I thought some of you might have some comments about my purchase – BUT I’m going to be away from the house a lot the next few days so I don’t want it to go bad. I am a pretty healthy eater but I do say, “everything in moderation.” That said, the Eggos last forever (and are awesome to donate to families in need which is what I will be doing)..
no trans fat in the eggo pancakes.
Lisa,
Could you advise how many newspapers you buy on a weekly basis. I only by two.
Thank you,
Yadira
Hi Yadira – I buy between 6-8 depending on the week..
for horrible for just starting out! you’ll get better! it all comes with time!
You did awesome!! I spent $15.03 OOP and saved $72. I had a bad experience though.. Especially with the shavers.. But I stood my ground and used all the coupons I came in with!
What experience did you have with the shavers? Some people are getting the deal while others are losing out. I haven’t made it to Publix yet, so hopefully I can get the deal.
The experience with the shavers was because you get overage with them when you use the $3 off. I bought 4 shavers and used 4 coupons and the cashier AND acting supervisor told me they cant allow that, I told them that I was not going to get money back for it because I will have a total so there was no giving me money. She then went to the front desk and came back and said it would be fine. I went in the morning though so that could be why it was not a good experience! I usually go at night.
I had an episode with the razors as well. My cashier decided that he would not accept the 2nd $3.00 coupon for the full value so he decided to adjust the coupon to $2.49 (or so he thought!)
He had already scanned the first $3.00 coupon but then he voided off both razors and enterd the 2nd one as a price check for $2.49. Then he scanned the 2nd $3.00 coupon. So I still got my overage and paid even less tax! I paid $2.27 (saved $15.33) for 4 pancakes, 2 razors and a 10pk of Oxi-clean power packs.
Jamilla that is great! Sucks that he wouldn’t let you but it looks like in the end all went exactly how it should be anyway!!
Also went to Win Dixie and spent $56.66 and saved $65.74!!
Liza, I have a question. Do you use the Coupon Clippers to get extra coupons to shop with. I just placed an order with Coupon Clippers for the razors. I purchased (4) yesterday, but I want to start a stock pile. Would you recommend just buying two F(2) newspaper and then use the Coupon Clippers getting the rest of the coupons you will use.
Thanks
Love Publix! Just spent $2.73 and saved $72.93! What a deal….thanks Liza!
I am frustrated by my publix – they dont consider anyone (that I use) to be a competitor – no drug stores and not target. I am going to start using bi-lo more. Not nearly as convient, but ALOT more coupon friendly!
I just printed a FREE Chips & Queso from Chilli’s here: http://freechipsandqueso.com/
Hey Liza, I just started subscribing to your newsletter. Thanks so much for clearing up the coupon rules for me, especially with Publix. This Sat. I spent $49.37( which included a box of diapers) and saved $42.98. Yeah!!
Awesome job Kim!! 🙂
