Has it been a long week for anyone besides myself? I tell you what – I am so happy that today is Friday and that the weekend is here! Today has been a challenge for me. I’m not going to lie – I work a lot on this website. A lot. But I love doing this and I love interacting with all of you so it is worth it. But some days just drain me! Yesterday and today were two of those days. It seemed like every deal I posted – even with research – was gone within just a couple minutes. Or the deal didn’t work. Or the deal wasn’t what it seemed it would be. Or there are coding issues on my website which cause me to spend 45 minutes trying to figure out what exactly is going on.. While I know you all appreciate my posting deals every day and I am so thankful for that, I always put a lot of pressure on myself to make sure every thing I do on Addicted to Saving is perfect. And I’m so not perfect. (Emphasis on the word so) And so, with a long week beginning to wind down, today I knew that I had to go to Publix. And, as some of you might agree, I don’t think this week’s sales are anything to brag about at Publix. So, I contemplated just skipping this week. (We really needed only milk & eggs..) But, my husband came to the rescue saying that I needed to post my weekly Photo Show and Tell for all of you and he went armed with coupons and my printable grocery list prepared to do battle (while I stayed home and used the elliptical ;)).
It really is a slow week at Publix. If you have a full stockpile, I wanted to tell you that it is okay if you take this week off at Publix. 🙂 Do not feel like you have to go shopping just because it is a new week with new sales. Sometimes, the best thing to do is to take a break (or send your hubby as I did)!
I really hope you guys are all having a great week! Please leave a comment on this post with all of the deals (Publix and other stores) you have snagged this week! Brag away – we all love to read about it!

Addicted to Saving says
Hi Johnnie! The $3/2 coupon is/was a blinkie that I found at my store. You probably know this, but a blinkie is a coupon you find in the red coupon dispensers attached to the shelf. I found these coupons about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Hopefully you can find them at your local store!

Hey, I just wanted to say good job on all your hard work, and thank you for your transparency. I’d like to pray for you, if that’s okay…not because I am perfect or always have strength (ha, ha), but because we all need His help. “Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this woman who is wisely saving and helping others also. Give her the strength…the grace to persevere and to smile amidst the trying times. I also ask that You would make a way through these setbacks and cause her to rejoice once again in You and in the life You have given her, and the work You have given her hands to do. May others rise up and call her blessed as she is diligent in her work. Oh, and please help her seize those moments of rest for her weary soul. In Your precious name Lord Jesus, Amen.” Thank you so much.

Thanks so much for all of the time you spend on this site. It is my favorite of all the sites I follow. One good deal I spotted this week was at Winn Dixie. They have their Mueller’s pastas 10/$10. There is a $1/1 coupon for the Whole Wheat pastas, so that makes them free!

Thank you for teach me about coupons. Your husband sound like great man to go to store so you can do exercises. Keep the great deals coming. I love learning about freebies.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the hard work that you do for this website. Because you and this website, I have been able to save more than $5,000, just this year in food. I just don’t know how I could ever thank you enough.
Kim says
It may be a slow week for coupons but my Publix has Blue Bell ice cream (the best ice cream in the country…well, at least according to their marketing team and my tastebuds) on sale 2 for $9. Time to fill the freezer!

I just wanted to say I think you do an excellent job and it is very much appreciated. I know you are human and don’t expect your scenarios to be perfect or for you to possibly know when a deal will run out. You don’t know until you actually get into the store if it is going to work out, you are only going by the ad like the rest of us.
It is a slower week, but I’m stocked up on cereal now for the next 6 months! Between the other good deals and this weeks less than $1 a box of cereal, we are set! To think, a month ago I paid $4.00 for 1 box of cereal!

Thank you for doing the show and tell…it’s very helpfull…as I can be a “visual” person so seeing the pix – helps a lot:)

While this week was generally a slow one, I’m a vegetarian and have been waiting patiently for the Morningstar Farms products to be BOGO again so I was pretty thrilled. Stocked up on 4 products already and plan on going back for more after I print the coupons a couple more times from my parents’ house. Also, for anyone that lives in an area where Save-a-lot is a competitor (I’m in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area of Florida), you can log onto the Save-a-lot website and sign up to get a printable $5 off $25 coupon for yourself and additional copies if you refer friends. I’ve also heard of people in my area making copies of it because it doesn’t affect the coupon, but I guess ethically it’s your discretion…

I must admit I do love to see the show and tell so thanks to u and ur hubby for the last minute of motivation to bring some eye candy into my world. I dont know why but to see all the things in a picture and then a breakdown of them makes couponing seem worth while (even though some stores make you feel like a crook). So thanks for all you and your familys hard work it does not go unseen!

I scored big with the MorningStar Bogo sale today. My publix had a demo table for them and were giving out a publix morningstar coupons AND morningstar books (which also included additional coupons for Ronzoni and Kings Hawaiian in the books).
I got each for FREE+ overage $1.50 off per box + $1.00 off =$2.50 off each box!!!! or $5.00 off 2 which made about an .81 cent overage per pair…
I got 10 boxes =o) thanks to the lady because I told her how much my family and I love these products (as one of my children and I are vegetarian)
I have 4 more books but they dont expire until August… but this sale was too perfect! I am going back later today and a free gallon a milk =O)
