I can’t believe it is Friday again! These weeks are absolutely flying by! Life has been busy in our household – we have had lots of paperwork and projects that we have been working on. Throw in another television taping two days ago as well as maintaining this website and life is a whirlwind. (A good whirlwind..but a tiring one!) I have been encouraged by Publix’s sales lately. I think they are getting better. I did awesome today at Publix. And a huge thanks to Melissa for surprising me with the awesome FREE $10.00 Publix gift card when you spend $50.00+ at Publix coupon. (She received this coupon in the mail and she knows I never receive them :)) I was able to use that coupon today and if I factor the free $10 gift card I received, I ended up spending just $12.57 on everything pictured above.
And to update you on Zaycon Foods, they emailed me and said they were in the midst of planning on coming down to our area in October hopefully. So, if you haven’t gotten on their email waiting list, make sure you do it. The more interest they see in our areas, the quicker they will come down and sell us awesome deals on chicken breasts, ground beef and more. If you are unaware of Zaycon Foods, go HERE to read how to score awesome deals on boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.

My trip will look a lot like yours! :} Minus the PB. I stocked up on the last Skippy sale. I won’t need it for a long time. I’m hoping when I go Saturday the Degree Women’s will be BOGO, only saw the sign in front of the Men’s. My men are stocked up on deodorant, us girls need some! :}
Can’t wait to try out the Zaycon deal. Our main protein choice is boneless skinless chicken breasts. I wonder how much they will charge per pound. Publix prices are pretty high so I’m looking to stock up. Thanks for letting us in on this deal.
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Melissa! 🙂 Degree Women was on sale BOGO at my Publix- hopefully you will find the same sale at yours!
Jenessa says
Hey Melissa! I noticed that you buy a lot of Vit D. Obviously, it’s a great deal because of the overage, but I wondered if you have any idea what we can do with the extras if we don’t need the supplement ourselves. Thanks!
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Jenessa! I think you are talking to me right? 🙂 I give my Vitamin D away. I actually have a friend who takes it and I give a lot to her. Beyond that, you could always ask food pantries if they would take the vitamins? (many will!)
Doug says
The 46 oz V8 is 2/$5, but the $1/1 in-ad Qs are for 64 oz. Did we get a super deal?
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Doug! Nope. Definitely not a super deal. I did want to get V8 Spicy Juice though because I use it in soups.. But definitely not a stockpile deal at all.
Doug says
But aren’t the Qs for the wrong size?
Addicted to Saving says
Hi again Doug – yup – the store coupons do not cover the size that I bought hence the reason I pulled them from my scenario above. 😉
JenS says
Okay…Did I miss something?!?!
Liza, how did you get a $10 Publix GC when you spend $50? I don’t see this advertised anywhere. Do tell! 🙂
Addicted to Saving says
Hi JenS! The $10 GC coupon was mailed to me by one of my readers.. She received it in the mail along with her Publix Ad..
JenS says
uh huh! The perks of being you! ;0) Good for you! (and thanks…now I can breath a little easier that I’m not loosing my couponing touch)
Kathy says
Is there any trick to getting these Vocalpoint freebies and coupons (Fresh Express Salad)? I haven’t received anything from Vocalpoint in awhile.
Anna says
I was disappointed that my Publix was out of the Resolve. I used the coupons on the stick (looks like deoderant :-P)so got if for free, but still bummed. I love Spray & Wash, and was so excited to get it for free! Never mind.. *sigh* But, I got the Minute Maid for free! And the chinet for 7cents.
And I signed up with Zycon, too. Can’t wait! Told my mom about it, too.
Susan says
At my Publix, on the B1G1 Fresh Express, they would only take off $2 ( or $1.99), which is the price of the free one. Then they’d take off the dollar off the other one. You’d pay $1 for 2 salads. Which is correct? Thanks.
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Susan! Where do you live? It sounds like you live in a state where BOGO sales are actually 50% off sales? If that is the case, then yes, you would have to pay for the salads – even if you used two coupons.
Susan says
I do – Georgia. They would ring up each at half price. So the free one would be free (at Half Price), then you’d get the other one half price minus $1 off. Still good deal. Just not all free like yours.
Tammy Y says
Ditto. No overage here either.
Melissa says
What is the Publix Store ConAgra College Care Booklet?
Melissa says
The coupon that was used for the peanut butter?
Jennifer says
What is zaycon?
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Jennifer – Zaycon foods buy large quantities of fresh meat and produce and deliver them at “events” all across the country. To sign up to receive a notice via email as to when they’ll have an event in your area, go HERE and click on Register.
Sarah says
wow, you are a pro! 🙂 I spend the same amount, but get alot more for our money. Do you know how to get coupons for gluten free items?
Sarah says
I meant to say that I spend the same amount as I used to, not that I spend the same amount as you! 🙂 I’ll never be able to walk out spending less than $50
