Photo Show and Tell – Publix 8/5/11

I so badly want to tell you I saved a ton of money yesterday (Thursday) at Publix.  But really, the savings were sparse.  In fact, I think I saved the lowest amount.  I had two gift cards to use so I actually spent $0.00 out of pocket, but my savings were a bit disappointing nonetheless.  I was in need of a few necessities and then wanted to stock up on peanut butter.  So many of you have been emailing me about your disappointment on not just Publix’s sales but other stores as well.  My advice is to hang in there.  Publix has definitely given us a few weeks of less than stellar sales.  I’ve been fortunate because I have food and toiletries stockpiled away to carry me through this time.  If you are new to couponing, do not get discouraged.  Do you best to stock up on the great deals that are available (like the Skippy deal) and then buy the necessities that you need.  Tomorrow is a new day and let’s hope that next week’s sale(s) are better!
