I had such a fun Publix trip today. The trip was so fun because going into it, I had an amazing scenario planned around the Ball Park Franks B1G1 sale. I had all of the coupons necessary to get 6 packages of Ball Park Franks free, 3 packages of Publix hot dog buns free and 6 bottles of Pepsi Max free. When you go to Publix, make sure you look for a tearpad near the Ball Park Franks which will get you hot dog buns free when you buy 2 packages of franks!
Have I told you before that I have been blessed by awesome readers? One reader sent me MorningStar coupons which I was able to use today with a rain check I had from last week. Another reader sent me two $10.00 off when you spend $50.00 Publix coupons. And, she sent me a couple of other goodies. So, can I tell you all that not only do you bless me with your comments on this website and on Facebook, but I appreciate the goodies that you send me! But back to my shopping trip. This was an awesome trip – I was able to get more produce and some fruit. I got the free Stride gum although it is scary to me. Have you all tried it yet? I’m trying to imagine how gum can be good that starts off tasting like fruit and then ends up tasting minty. Hmmm. How did you all do at Publix this week? Would love to hear!
Also – Attention Bloggers – I am trying something new this week – at the bottom of this post is a place for you to link up your deals! So, make sure you leave a link to your shopping trip successes this week. I am looking for your personal deals not a list of store sales/coupon matchups! And, make sure this is a direct link to your deals – I will remove links that go to your home page.
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.
If you are new to saving money at Publix, read my Intro to Publix post!
**NOTE** 1) My Publix allows us to use more than one of the same Publix store coupon and/or competitor coupon. Not all Publix locations allow this. You should ask customer service if they allow this before loading up your cart. 2) You should find out what stores your Publix considers competition so that you know what competitor coupons you can use. Some but not all Publix locations accept Target, Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, Sweet Bay, Walgreens, and many more. 3) Not all Publix locations allow overage. If your Publix does not allow overage, they will adjust the value of the coupon down so that you receive the item for free.

You are welcome! Thanks for jumping on board with me 🙂

Bagel Bites are $2.49 at my Publix 🙁 But I got them anyway 🙂 $2.49 X 2 minus one $2/2 and two $1/1 (magazines)= 49 cents each…still not a bad dealio!
Shannon Brigman says
Where were you able to get the ball park coupons from?
Liza says
Hi Shannon – I posted about the Ball Park coupons HERE. However, I believe the print limit has been reached.
Kathryn says
I clicked the link to the blog – saved $154.19 – the blog shows up for a second and then the site automatically tries to open up something else. A little wary of what it was doing and I didn’t let it continue.
Btw, awesome shopping. That is great that your Publix lets you use 2 of the $10/$50 store coupons.
Liza says
Thanks Kathryn – I checked the $154 link and it worked perfectly on my end. You might want to try again? 🙂
Holly Y. says
Hi Kathryn, that is my link. Hmmm…strange. I don’t know why it was doing that. I tried on my end to make sure it was working ok. It seems ok for me, but it is my site 🙂 so that doesn’t mean a whole lot. Let me know if you have any other issues!
Holly
Kathryn says
Thanks Holly, but it still isn’t working for me. When I click on the link I can see your blog for about 2 seconds and then the page tries to load something else. Maybe it’s something with my computer.
Jenn says
The gum is good…go for it! 🙂

Shirley says
I haven’t seen the Publix store coupon booklet at any of the Publix in my area, the Toss for Cash.
Doug says
I found the Toss for Cash in a display by an endcap, not up front where you’d expect.
Shirley says
Thanks Doug, I will checkit out! :o)
Steve says
Ask at the Customer Service counter, they should be able to tell you where they are or if they haven’t put them out yet.
Renee Taylor says
Can that be requested by mail? My Publix in TINY and OLD, and they don’t have 1/2 of the publications I hear everyone talking about.
Renee Taylor says
This is all fairly new to me, but am so proud of myself so far. Shopped tonight, spent $78, saved $63. Thanks for all your tips and encouragement. I appreciate it.
Tracee says
I am trying to figure out how you used a $5/5 kraft coupon when you only bought 2 chunk cheese. Am I missing something?
Teresa says
I believe she used the coupon towards the Breakstone sour cream. When you print out that coupon, it gives you a list of items you can use it towards. Along with the Kraft and Breakstone, I believe you can use it towards Velveta which is also B1G1 this week.
Liza says
Hi Tracee! Great question! The $5/5 covers more than just Kraft cheese. So, I bought 2 Kraft Cheese and 3 Breakstone sour cream. If you look at the sheet that printed out with the coupon, there is a list of products included and there are a ton of items. I can post them tomorrow if you like 🙂
Tracee says
Thanks Liza! I knew there were other qualifying things with that coupon but didn’t remember sour cream being one of them. Thanks for clarifying! BTW, I love, love, love your site and all of the info. you share. Tell lots of people about it, many of those people are Publix cashiers! 🙂
Teresa says
I just posted my link for my shopping trip tonight. At Publix, I spent $21.85 and saved $214.06
Tracee says
Teresa, just checked out your link. Amazing!!!! Unfortunately, I never receive any of the $10/50 type coupons where I live even though my Publix is only 3 miles from me!
Teresa says
Thanks! 🙂 That really stinks. I don’t understand how they figure out what areas they get mailed to and what areas they don’t.
Jennifer says
You are awesome sista!!! I think I will link up too!!!

Anyone have any ideas what to do with sour cream and cream cheese? Hehe! Spent $14.98 and $70.63 this week!
carrie says
How did you get the GA booklet when we live in Florida? did you send out for it or something?
Liza says
Hi Carrie! I was very fortunate because a reader sent them to me..
carrie says
that is very nice of them! that was a good deal for the cake mixes!
missy says
I was driving through Georgia this week so I decided to take a detour to a Publix for their toss for cash flyer (I live in Fl). I had to ask for it at the service desk…she gave me a florida one! oh well I tried.
Julie says
Walgreens coupon booklet this month pairs up nicely on the Nestle chocolate BOGO sale. Make sure that you get two because it is $1.00 off each bag. Use two at Publix to score chocolate for cheap! Also, the Nabisco Ritz toasted chips had a coupon in the Walgreens ad. My Publix had peelies on the toasted chips and I used the Walgreen’s coupons too…they were 20 cents each!!!!
missy says
today my cashier would not except both the manufacter coupon and the target coupon for the gum. He said I had to actually buy one! I questioned it and he said no, I had to save the coupon for next time. I didnt feel like asking the manager over .50cents.
Laura says
Thank you for adding the widgit! I love to see how others shop as well!
Kim says
Just got back from Publix spent $60 and saved $208!! But got tons of chicken with the Albertson’s B1G2 free coupon I got in the mail! Also Surf & Turf in Belleair Bluffs put $5 off $35 on the front of our local paper and I used several of them at my store! Gotta love Publix!
Teresa says
So your Publix takes Surf & Turf as a competitor? I’ll have to check if mine does. The one I shop at is a few miles away from the Palm Harbor location. Which paper did you find their coupon in. Thanks for the info. 🙂
Barbie says
AMAZING! I always feel like I did a good job, then I read shopping accounts from couponing experts like you and Heather at mysweetsavings. And I realize that I have so far to go and so much to learn still. 🙂
Thanks for the show and tell!
