Today is the day for fresh produce! Between my shopping trip at Publix and my shopping trip at Winn Dixie, (where I just bought fresh produce using a gift card I received from transfering a ) I stocked up on a TON of fresh produce. My nutritionist would be so proud of me. 😉 Fortunately, my husband and I love salad and veggies so we will be eating lots of meals on a bed of lettuce the next few days! I found an AWESOME deal on the Oscar Mayer Low Sodium Turkey Bacon at Publix. I had a $1/1 Target coupon and a $0.75/1 manufacturer coupon so with both coupons I got the bacon for $1.64 (it was regularly priced at $3.39 at my Publix). Also – if you have any $1.00/1 any Kame product coupons, you can score a can of Kame Water Chestnuts for just $0.34! All of the coupon details are below.
**The Winn Dixie purchase is not pictured. You will have to use your imagination 😉
The items I purchased today coincide with this week’s Publix Weekly ad. To see this week’s ad & coupon matchups, go HERE.
If you are new to saving money at Publix, read my Intro to Publix post!
**Disclaimer**
Not all Publix locations allow overage – mine does. If your Publix does not allow overage, they will usually adjust the value of the coupon down so that you receive the item for free. Also – my Publix allowed me to use two of the same Yellow Advantage Flyer coupons on one of my deals. Not all locations allow this – in fact, most do not.

Leave a comment and let me know how you did this week at Publix! Did you find any great deals??
Kathy says
Great deals! Looking to get some fresh produce too!
I used to use the Publix pizza dough all the time until I found out about Sam’s Club pizza dough. If you have a Sam’s membership, you can purchase a case of 20 of their frozen pizza dough balls for around $15.76 (last purchase) You buy the cases at the Cafe (where they sell the pizza, hot dogs, etc.) This makes them only about $.78 each! I also feel the dough is more workable, turns out better and makes a larger pizza.

Kathy I love your tip! I have never tried Sam’s Club dough – my mom has a membership there and I’m going to have her get me some! I used to make my own dough (it was amazing) but found that Publix was a easy alternative. I agree though – it is a bit stiff and hard to spread out – I like thick dough though so I’m okay with that. That said, I am excited to try out Sam’s Club!! Thank you for the tip!
Kathy says
Sometimes you may have to order the dough balls. It’s worth calling first to see if they have any in stock to sell. I think they have to keep so many cases in their freezer for the pizzas they sell. We make pizza a lot, but I can’t fit all 20 dough balls in my freezer with everything else I have in there! So, I usually split a box with a friend. I hope you get to try them and enjoy!:)

Are you using 2 manufacture coupons on your BOGO’s ( one for each item)? I was under the assumtion we can only use one per transaction?
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Ryan! Yes! 🙂 I am using two manufacturer coupons on BOGO items. Per Publix’s coupon policy, this is allowed. 🙂 The only time it isn’t allowed is if you have a $1.00/2 coupon. Since you are purchasing two items, you would only be able to use one $1/2. Great question – let me know if I can help further!
Teresa says
What about two Publix store coupons for two items? For instance the Lysol No Touch from the Yellow Advantage. There’s a Publix store BOGO coupon in that flyer and there’s a $1.00/1 Publix store coupon in the new Summer Savings booklet. Can they be used together when buying two of these items?
Nicole says
I have found I can use 2 publix coupons and 2 manufacturer coupons on BOGO’s. I even had a cashier try to say I couldn’t but I asked for a supervisor and the supervisor was quick and friendly and said “yep, it’s ok.” The cashier acted like I was stealing. Some just don’t understand how we are doing what we do and some get confused when you are buying 20 of an item and using 30 or 40 coupons!

I was not aware you get the $10 gift card PLUS the $5 Alberstons. I used the $10 Publix gc but did not use a $5/50 coupon I also had from GFS (which is a competitor). My purchase pre coupons was $59. This is good to know. Is this okay at all Publix? Thanks. Your blog is great.
Addicted to Saving says
Hi Valerie! Thanks you! 🙂 The new Publix coupon policy states you can use one store $x/$xx and one competitor $x/$xx in one transaction. I’m not sure if they consider a $10 gift card a store $x/$xx coupon so I think that every store will handle the situation differently. Definitely ask customer service at your store though because you don’t want your high value coupons to go to waste! )
jillian says
to me and my publix – they are 2 different types of coupons one is for a gift card and the other is $ off coupon… i am not getting anything off with the giftcard it’s just a thanks for spending 50… i have always been able to do this with no problem…. if it’s 2 $off coupons you have to spend what they ask so if it’s 5 off 30 and 5 off 50 you have to spend 80…. but ask your publix if you feel weird

Just wanted to let u know the great deal I was able to get on deoderant! Unfortunately, the one greenwise coupon is over! But here it is, they had a 2 pack of Degree for the same price as one, so why not get the two pack, however, there was a peelie, for $1 off each, and I had 2 $1.00 ea from green wise, and had a man coupon for 75 cents off and a bogo for Degree! I got a lot of other great deals as well w/ publix bogo and coupons, but this by far was the biggest score for $$ off!
Michelle says
My local Publix is wanting to scan my coupons first and scan my $5 off $30 (or other similar coupon) at the end of my transaction when my total usually at that point is below the required price. Is anyone else having that problem?
Theresa says
Yes. If the coupon reads “after all coupons and discounts” then your total has to be $30 or whatever the amount is for you to use the $$ off coupon.
Lauren @4BabyAndMom says
I usually give them that coupon first. 🙂 Then hand over the rest.
Rocki says
My Publix said you had to have the total of the $X off $XX if you’re wanting to use a Publix Q and a Competitor Q. I tried it last week with a GFS and they said I had to spend $100 (they were both $5 off $50 coupons). I even had a supervisor double check for me. Now I have the $5 off $50 and teh $10 GC for spending $50 and another store told me I couldn’t combine them either. I’m going to check with my store tomorrow.

BUT…..
I noticed I was overcharged for the Frito’s. They rang up $1.34 and should have only been a dollar.
I went into another Publix on my way home and they were going to refund the total. Instead I used that money for a $1 Newspaper from this past Sunday.
So, I left that store with a Newspaper and $.27! 🙂
AND… BONUS… The paper had double the coupons in it.. 2SS, 1RP and 2P&G’s!!
WooHoo 🙂 Happy Happy Shopping Day!!! ;P
