It seems that many of you have had the chance to head out to Target and take advantage of their annual July Toy Clearance Sale! I headed out to two Targets late yesterday afternoon and was able to stock up on toys! The picture above is of my trunk after my first stop. After I shopped at the second Target, my trunk was filled to the rim. Love it!
I was a bit disappointed not to find many baby and toddler aged toys at the two Targets I went to. But I did find tons of dolls and tons of toys aimed towards kiddos around 4 years of age and older. I may have mentioned this in the past but hubby was supposed to go to Ethiopia this August on a mission trip. However, since our August baby (from our domestic adoption) was scheduled to be born in mid-August, he cancelled his trip. Well, within the past 48 hours, the trip is now on again and I had SO much fun buying toys to send with him to give away to the children he encounters. The remainder of the toys I purchased, we will give to children in need this Christmas. So much fun to pay it forward.
Above is a picture of all of the toys I purchased. I apologize for the poor lighting – I took this picture at 11 pm last night and had zero natural light to work with. All in all, I spent quite a bit of money. I spent $198.68 on $833.62 worth of toys. That is savings of 76.2%. And every toy will be used to bless kids in need. Awesome. **well – maybe not the Modern Family game… I may keep that for myself 😉
Below are two Photo Show & Tell pics that two readers sent me!
Laura C spent $309 on the $825.22 worth of toys pictured above!

How long does this toy clearance usually last for? I have 2 year old twin girls and a 5 year old girl, and my husband works all day, so sneaking out of the house is kind of hard. I was hoping to hit this up this weekend when the kids go to bed!!

Liza you are more than inspiring to me, it brought tears to my eyes to see how much you are helping children in need. I am starting to get my life prepared to give back also and I want to say, being a single mom who used to be in need my self, thank you so much for your Christ like ways. Your light shines bright and so will your childrens’. God Bless you and your husband and congratulations on the adoption!
