Phew! Another week has come and gone! Before motherhood, I was always tired when I got to the end of the week. Now, I realize that as a mom at the end of the week, I’m tired and exhausted and then discouraged when I realize I will never ever be able to sleep in again. 🙂 Last week I told you about how Asher was doing really well swimming. Well, we taped it this week and I had to brag and show you the video. How cute is this kid! 🙂 He swims with his head under water and doesn’t swallow any of it or choke on it! And he isn’t two yet!
I went to Publix late today which is why I’m typing this up late. It was not a large shopping trip but I did take advantage of a large variety of deals. I will give you a head’s up – I bought a lot of processed foods. But as a reminder, we belong to a coop and we have frozen ground beef and chicken breasts in our freezer from Zaycon Foods although both are starting to run low. We also get between 1 – 2 gallons of organic whole milk and creamer at Publix. Sometimes I get the milk when I do my weekly shopping trip and other times, if we run low on milk earlier in the week, we will make a separate trip just for milk.
We actually tried out a new coop this week that is organic. We got a lot less produce compared to our previous coop and it is more expensive. That is the price you pay for organic right? I’m trying to figure out how to fit it into our budget and right now I’m thinking that if I pay for the large coop bin bi-weekly, I will actually spend less than if we ordered a large weekly bin from our previous coop whose prices recently went up. It’s tricky figuring out how to swing the costs of everything isn’t it?

Did you see that Publix has a In-flyer coupon for $3 off 2 Breyers Gelato or MAGNUM ice cream bars (yay!). There is also a $1 off 2 Target coupons for Magnum bars. I’ll let you know final cost.
Also, for your organic food coop – consider Edens Organic – they have small medium and large fruit or vegetable or mixed fruit/vegetable. Got it with a Groupon initially and considering again. Great quality, nice guy and they deliver. Check it out.
