We had a fabulous week this week! Our two year old seems to be potty trained! We only had one accident this week and in all honesty, it wasn’t his fault! I’m excited to think about all of the money we will save not needing to use diapers. Although I have boxes and boxes of diapers stockpiled away that we will probably never use on him! I’m still using a diaper on him at nap and bedtime. So at least I know we will have enough to cover us for months and months to come 🙂
You may have read my post yesterday about my overflowing stockpile? If you haven’t, go HERE. Because of the fact that we have enough food to last us at least 6 months, I’m going to begin shopping differently each week. I will still take advantage of some of the deals, but not all of them. Because honestly, I’m trying to spend less money. Money has become tight and we have to scale back where we can. And one of the places is grocery shopping. Usually we go grocery shopping with the mentality that we don’t need the food but we want to buy it to show all of you the best deals to be had. Well, since we have an awesome stockpile, I really want to eat the food we do have and hopefully save a bit of money at the same time. That said, after seeing my total grocery bill today, I’m a bit concerned that we won’t be saving that much. Buying organic milk and eggs for our son is pricey!
So my Photo Show & Tell will have two parts now. The first part will be the BEST deals that I would take advantage of if I had a need for them. The second part will show the exactly items I purchased and the coupons I used. So if you usually follow my lead and buy what I buy, I would recommend you pay attention to the scenario I concocted for you with the best deals. That is what I would buy if my freezer wasn’t overflowing and if my cabinets weren’t full.
How did you do this week?
Please remember that you do not see any chicken or ground beef purchased because we have stocked up on boneless, skinless chicken breasts and ground beef with Zaycon Foods. **Right now Zaycon Foods is taking reservations for their upcoming BACON, Sausage links, Chuck Roast, Patio Steaks, Pulled Pork and more Events! You also do not see much produce as we belong to a coop and every other week get a delivery of organic fruits and veggies.
