Happy Friday! You may have noticed that last week I didn’t post a Photo Show & Tell! It is very rare for me to skip a week of grocery shopping! Earlier this week I actually went to Publix for produce. Now that I am eating pretty clean, I am finding that I have to go to the grocery store early in the week to replenish our dwindling fruits and veggies. Since I just went to Publix on Tuesday for produce, I didn’t have to buy any today. Today’s shopping trip should have been a light one and an inexpensive one. But then I realized that my EVOO stockpile (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) is empty and I had one bottle left with only a couple tablespoons left in it. So I decided to take advantage of the Pompeian deal. It isn’t that good of one – especially since I couldn’t print the $1/1 coupon. But I was in a bind and figured that the sale price was at least better than paying full price next week!
How have you been doing at Publix lately? While Publix is still my favorite grocery store, I’m finding that their sales combined with the available coupons have not been very good. Gone are the days when I was saving 80-90% each week! (Although, I wasn’t buying much produce during those days.. so my savings would have been less if I was on a clean eating plan then.)
