Photo Show & Tell: Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Barilla Pasta, Yasso Greek Yogurt Bars and MORE

Hopefully you had a great July 4th!  We had a relaxed 4th.  We had family over and I went all out making corn on the cob and opening a can of baked beans. I was going to make some fun pasta & potato salads but frankly, I was tired.  So we had a very laid back meal 🙂 We did grill burgers, hot dogs and shrimp and I did make my Cilantro & Honey Dressing to dip the shrimp in.  My dogs barely survived all of last night’s fireworks.  Particularly my dog Louie.  He shook and shook all night last night (pictured below). Next year, I’m going to try giving him Benadryl with the hopes of calming him a bit.

I was hesitant to go shopping this week.  There was nothing that I really needed (except fresh jalapenos and I forgot to get them :/ ).  But then I reviewed this week’s Publix Weekly Ad and saw that there were some great sales on ice cream and frozen desserts and frankly, I couldn’t resist taking advantage of the rock bottom pricing and adding to our freezer stockpile.  I made up a grocery list and gathered our coupons quickly and today’s shopping trip was a quick one.

As a reminder, you don’t see me purchasing much (if any) meat and produce because we have a freezer stocked with meats courtesy of Zaycon Foods and because we belong to a weekly fruit and veggie coop.  We get our meats and produce heavily discounted this way.  So when I go grocery shopping, I am really purchasing the filler items that I need each week.
