I know what you all are going to think when you see this picture. You are going to think that I barely bought anything and that there is no way I can live off of today’s shopping trip. You are right on both counts! This week’s Publix ad is disappointing to me. I am fortunate in that I have been couponing for years now and so I have a stockpile that is more than sufficient. So today I went to Publix with the buying around $30.00 worth of groceries (after sale and before coupons) so that I could use one of my $5 off $30 coupons. I’m hoping that next week’s sale is better. I have only been grocery shopping twice thus far in year 2012 and I haven’t been impressed with my savings or my results.
I have been taking advantage of the Zaycon Foodsevents, and so I have a ton of meat frozen away so I will not have to pay full price on lean meat for months to come. I am literally swimming in boneless, skinless chicken breasts. And, I am going in with friends on the upcoming Zaycon Foods bacon and ground beef deals so I know I will have enough meat to live on for a long time. (If you are new to Zaycon Foods, read my post HERE to learn more about Zaycon and to take advantage of their awesome meat deals!)
**If you like feta cheese (we LOVE it), make sure you read my post about the unadvertised Publix BOGO sale plus $1/2 printable coupon! I didn’t have this coupon on me when I went shopping tonight otherwise I would have taken advantage of this deal! Go HERE to read my post.
How did you do this week shopping? I hope you were able to spend less and save more than I did! Please leave a comment letting everyone know how you did!

I liked the Egg Beaters deal. I just got coupons off eBay and I read up that you can freeze them too. Since they are out of Santa Fe-(one of the best flavors,) I got a rain check, so helpful when my coupons arrive anyway.
I plan to make a few egg style casseroles with sausage and so on-to eat in the mornings in a hurry. That freezes well also. I never had egg Beaters until yesterday and they fluff up far better than I could ever whisk. Otherwise, you are right-Publix is slacking on real deals.

I agree with you. This week’s ad weren’t much to me either. Other than the free activia, and the eggbeaters my only incentive was my $10 off of $50. It was burning a hole in my pocket! Regardless savings are savings in my book WTG!
