Time has flown – we’ve been home for over 3 weeks now. But for me, cooking is still a challenge. By the time dinnertime comes around, I am finding that I’m going to whatever quick and easy meals I have in my freezer and pantry. It’s frustrating that I’m not making healthier meals.. but for now, we are in survival mode and just taking it day by day. Pretty soon I need to start making daily slow cooker meals. Because then, I will at least have a hot meal waiting for us at dinnertime! I sent hubby to the store last night to do our weekly shopping trip. I was home with our two kiddos (they were asleep already). I told my hubby that it was a “small shopping trip” but he’s reported back that it was a huge shopping trip. Oops! There are some good deals this week. Nothing stellar (in my opinion), but you can still get a lot of groceries at much more than 50% off and that’s the kind of savings that I love!
