It is a new week at Publix! There are some good buy one get one sales but I have to say not a ton has jumped out at me. I’m excited to see yellow squash and zucchini on sale again. Beyond that, I’m not overly thrilled with the ad. Do you see any deals or coupon matchups I’ve missed? What deals are you looking forward to? As always, I am showing you every B1G1 deal and the highlights of the rest of the ad. To see the entire ad/coupon matchups, go to I Heart Publix!
******Six Main Notes to my readers :
1) If you are new to saving money at Publix, read my Intro to Publix post.
2) When Publix has a Buy One Get One Sale, in order for most Floridians to receive the second item free, we have to buy both items. Other states only have to buy one item and they will get that item half (50%) off.
3) For Floridians, if we use coupons 50 cents or less, our coupons are not doubled. Other states will double coupons as long as they are 50 cents or less.
4) Publix accepts competitor store coupons! HOWEVER, each Publix store accepts different competitors based on the proximity of the competitor’s location. Ask your Publix who they consider as competitors!
5) If you live in Florida, our sales cycle starts on Thursdays

$10/$50 Publix coupon in mail circulars today!
YAY!!!!
Melanie says
How do you all get these mailed? Are they part of a regular paper or something?
David W. says
Mine comes wrapped in a RedPlum Mailer with the Winn-Dixie, Publix, Aldi, Abertsons Mid-Week Sales Fliers:
maybe if those who do not get it can subscribe to RedPlums mailing list to start getting it?
Monica Vila says
I received the red plum in my mailbox, but it only has sweetbay, albertsons, and aldi. Never publix!
Teresa says
But Albertsons ad is a good thing. Your Publix should take them as a competitor and they almost always have a $5 off $50 purchase. Granted it’s not $10 off but it’s better than nothing. And this week there are quite a few coupons on Albertson’s ad that can be used at Publix as well: $1.99 Hellman’s mayo (use it with the B1G1 and get both for $1.99), B1G2 free Ball Park Hot Dogs (use with the B1G1 sale and get 3 packages free, some even have manufacturer peelies where you could possibly get overage), $0.99 Bull’s Eye BBQ sauce (there are manufacturers coupons under Winn Dixie that will score you free BBQ sauce). There’s also a Jif/Skippy coupon and a few others. Hope this helps.
Michelle says
Part of the grocery ads that come to your mailbox each week.
Only those within a certain distance of the stores will get one, but if that’s you, you should receive one.
I wanted to make sure people looked instead of possibly tossing them!
Kaitlyn says
Grapes are cheaper at Target $1.98 for 2 pounds….
Ballpark Franks are on sale for $1.99 at Target, so if you only have one $2/1 coupon…. it’s free there!!!
Kaitlyn says
Right Guard antiperspirant is BOGO at $3.99, I know on coupons.com they had a $1 off one or $3 off two— I got 2 for $1
Jello pudding snacks are 84 cents at Target…
Hunts ketchup is 84 cents at Target
Melanie says
Well boo! I’ve got 2 Publix’s within a mile of me and I don’t get any ads. What’s a girl to do?
tracee says
You’re not the only one, Melanie! I never get one either. (sigh)
Heather says
There are 15 publix stores in Gainesville and I don’t get one darned ad and I’m signed up for all of their magazines!
Christina says
Okay… I’m a regular couponer… but, I’m curoius to find out how this would work.
Publix Ball Park’s are BOGO
Then, in the Albertson add this week they have a Buy One Get Two free coupon.
Do I buy one and get three free? Plus Stack with Man Coups.
Do I stack the BOGO deals and get three totally free?
How do you think this will work out?
Teresa says
I am curious as well. Thanks for pointing that out or I totally would have missed it! I usually only look for the $5 off $50 purchase so I totally would have missed that.
Teresa says
According to Julie at Publix at Seabreeze in Palm Harbor, if you use that Albertsons coupon for Ball Park Franks and the coupon “matches the items that they sell and what is on sale” then all three packages are free!!!! WOOOOOOOO!
Thomasina says
With the Ball Park Franks, This is the best way for that.
Get 6, it is BOGO, so you are getting 3 free and paying for 3. then use 2 of the $2.oo coupon and then the Albertson’s coupons. It will make it all free. If it is BOGO and you use a BOG2 free the computer has allready is the BOGO and you are geting 3 free and when thay start the coupon’s it will give you 2 free and the $2.00 off coupon will take away the one you are paying for. Goodluck and you can alway go to ask about it with a MGR before paying.
Teresa says
What I actually ended up doing was buying 10 packages (I know it’s a lot but I freeze them and they make an easy quick lunch on the foreman grill). I used two of the B1G2 free Albertson’s coupons with 2 manufacturer peelies from two of the “jumbo frank” packages and four $2/1 facebook coupons. So I ended up getting all 10 packages and Publix paid me $2.00. And I am ok with that! 🙂
Teresa says
Anyone else that gets Albertsons, there are coupons on the front of this weeks ad that are “Week Long Coupons”. I’m not sure how they would work if your Publix takes them but the fine print says “Coupon is redeemed after manufacturer’s coupon” so I’m guessing this means it’s a store coupon. But here are the coupons: $0.99/ea for Skippy or Jiff Peanut butter (limit 2, after they’re 2/$3). Bull’s Eye BBQ Sauce $0.99/ea (limit 3, after they’re 4/$5). Hellmann’s Mayo $1.99/ea (limit 1, after they’re 2/$5). Zephyrhills Water 24 pack $2.99 (limit 3, after they’re $3.99/ea).
Jennifer D says
We use the Skippy Naturals and the Hellman’s mayo with canola oil. Does anyone know if Albertson’s is including these with their Week-Long coupons, or is it just the regular kinds?
Teresa says
If you are trying to use them at Publix, you would have to ask the store. I double checked when I went to rent a movie that they would take the $1.99 Hellmans coupon with the B1G1 sale. Customer service said it has to match exactly to every stipulation on the coupon AND their sale. If you are wanting to use them at Albertsons, that I honestly couldn’t answer.
Kathryn says
My Publix let me use the $1.99 Hellman’s coupon with the BOGO sale. I got 2 Hellman’s for $1.99. I used the Jiff $.99 coupon as well with no problems.
Teresa says
I did the same thing with the Hellman’s and used two manufacturer $0.75/1 Hellman’s coupon. I wasn’t sure if they would let me but they did. I also used the B1G2 free Ball Park Hot Dog coupon at Publix with no problem along with the Bull’s Eye one. I was surprised at the number of Albertsons coupons there were this week that I could actually use.

I know I remember seeing a Heinz ketchup coupon recently…anyone remember???
Lisa says
Never mind…the coupon I was thinking of for the Heinz ketchup is for the 40 oz bottle..won’t work.
Liza says
Lisa – I thought the same thing – I was so excited to use the $1/1 store coupon until I realized the size didn’t match :/

And where do the Albertson’s ads come from? I’ve never seen one in my mail. I’ll have to find that Aldi one too.
Teresa says
As far as I can tell, I think the Albertsons ads are mailed to South Pinellas (from about Dunedin/North Palm Harbor and south) and possibly some of Hillsborough. According to Albertsons site there is still a store on Dale Mabry south of Waters. The Aldi ads with the coupons, I believe, are mailed out in Pasco County. Hope this helps 🙂
Cathy says
Not all of South Pinellas….Maybe mid-Pinellas? I am in St. Pete and we don’t get Albertson’s ads around here. But then again I think all of our stores turned into Publixes with the closest Albertson’s being in Largo.

Have to VENT!!!
My mother always gives me her Publix and Albertson’s coupons. She is out of town and I went to get them today…… My dad thought they were junk mail and threw them in the recycle bin…. reclycling was picked up this morning!!! UGH!!!
I told him he owes me $15.00, but he won’t pay up!! LOL
I bet there are tons of people who just toss those coupons! DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!
Cindy says
LOL Christina…I Thought the same this morning as I drove out of my neighborhood and saw everyones recycling buckets full of papers. Some little part of me (or maybe more than I can admit) wanted to stop and pilfer through their recycling to get their inserts! Such a shame!
Wendy says
That’s funny you say that because my brother goes to church with a man who will dumpster dive at his recycling center for coupons. I told my brother to have the man get me some coupons while he is in there!
Steve says
Went to Publix to get the Ball Park Beef Franks and found a tearpad for free buns with the purchase of 2 Ball Park Franks. Ended up getting 8 packs of franks and 4 packs of buns for FREE! Also, the Yoplait Yo-Plus Yogart 4 packs had $.55 instant coupons on them so with the BOGO, -$1/1 coupons and $.55 instant coupons I made a $1.20 back on the 4 I purchased!

I don’t find the $1/1 Uncle Ben’s coupon in the 7/11 RD. It is $1/3?
Yolanda says
Hi Vicky
I have one Q, if you want it I will have it at school tomorrow.
Vicki Powell says
Okay, can you give it to one of the boys. You don’t use UB rice?
Yolanda says
OK, I will. No, I don’t use that. I actually have two
Vicky says
Does anyone have trouble printing smart source coupons from the product website? For example, I tried the Vlasic coupon but only got a picture of the jar and nothing else! It also happened with a Duncan Haynes coupon. Are there setting problems with my computer?
Vicki Powell says
I had the same problem. My printer was set up to print directly. Once I switched it to spool, it started working.
Michelle says
Can’t find -$3/1 Wisk Laundry Detergent in the 8/29/2010 RP Insert. Anyone else?
