Last month Disney Art Academy game was released. I have had SO much fun playing with this game on our Nintendo 3DS! To me, this is less of a game and more of an art tool that helps you learn how to draw Disney and Pixar characters. And for an adult coloring book addict like myself, this game is so addicting! I also love how this game will help your children fine tune their fine motor skills! Go HERE for more information on this game.
This game is customized to your name! As the art instructor talks to the students, he will talk to you or your child by name!
With Disney Art Academy, you can follow lessons to learn how to draw Mickey Mouse, Nemo, Simba and more. Using the stylus from your 3DS like a paintbrush, you can draw from scratch popular Disney characters or you can follow lessons and have a bit more guidance on your favorite characters.
As you follow the lessons, you will be given step-by-step instructions on drawing and coloring your characters! Above is a picture of the Minnie Mouse lesson I followed!
There are also fun features like the “Magic Brush” that magically adds stars, clouds and glitter to your artwork! Once you’ve completed your artwork, you can share your pieces to Miiverse or on social media via the Nintendo 3DS Image Share tool!

Above is my picture of Nemo that I drew freehand. Not the best but it could definitely be worse! The best thing about this game is I can see with time, my art skills will get better and my drawings will be even better!
