My name is Liza and I began my money-saving journey in the Spring of 2009 as a way to stretch a limited household income. I had lost my job and my hubby was self-employed. I launched Addicted to Saving in November of 2009 and it has grown by leaps and bounds. I tried getting the deodorant and I visited over 10 Walgreens stores and they informed me that I must buy 1 and receive 3 for free. So I did not do the deal. I live in the Joliet, IL area and I can’t find a store that will allow me to only pay the tax on two deodorants. Where can we go?
I was able to do it at mine. The cashier had to key it in since it wouldn’t scan. Not all cashiers will do that. I got lucky!
I was able to get 10 free deodorants for free. My cashier just scanned each coupon with out any problem. She try to tell me that I would be getting more if I bought one and got 3 for free, that I would have an extra coupon. I told her I’d rather pay nothing than have an extra coupon. She OK. My Wags did not have the body wash. I really wanted that for my two teenage boys and hubby. They go through that stuff really fast.
My walgreens would only give $4.49 off every 2 items (that’s the value of the coupon). The deodorants were $4.79 and the bodywash was $4.99. So, I got 20 bodywashes, 20 deodorants and 2 Irish Spring deodorants for under $12! Now, I can donate some to my church! Thanks for all you do Liza!
The 2 Walgreen’s I checked were already sold out. I got a rain check, so hopefully they’ll get stock back in soon.
