My name is Liza and I began my money-saving journey in the Spring of 2009 as a way to stretch a limited household income. I had lost my job and my hubby was self-employed. I would love to take you up on your challenge…IF my Publix even things in stock!! I was super excited to go shopping (had a list ready for yesterday AND one ready for today) and saw nothing but empty shelves!!! HOWEVER, I did leave the store with two positives:
1. I got a few rain checks (guaranteed savings in my mind)
2. I realized your success because the empty shelves were all the deals you’ve been posting about! 🙂

I wish I would have taken a photo before putting everything away. Although it wasn’t a fabulous sales week at Publix, I think I did pretty darn good. I spent $33 and saved $58. Most of my items were free or under .50 each, but I did buy some items that I didn’t necessarily have coupons for such as 4 packs of A&W Root Beer ($10) and about $10 more in other groceries without coupons. If I would have just stuck with coupon items I would have only paid $13 for $70 worth of groceries. Thanks for this website!
