I have a new addiction. Well, two new addictions. I love listening to audiobooks and Podcasts on my phone. I figured out how to connect my phone to my car via an audio cable. And ever since then, I’ve been listening to podcasts and audiobooks as I drive.. (well, let’s be honest – when I drive without my toddler. If my son is in the car, he always asks to listen to “children’s music.” lol)
The Podcasts I’ve listened to are free. But audiobooks are not. We listened to the book Unbroken as well as the book Yes Please by Amy Poehler for FREE via Audible. When you sign up for a free Audible 30 day trial, you will be able to listen to two audiobooks (of your choice) for free! And, if you cancel your Audible account, you can continue to listen to your books – they don’t disappear! I took advantage of this freebie in December, right before we took a 16 hour road trip. While I did deactivate my account, I would definitely activate it again and pay the monthly charge if I had more free time to listen to books!
