Well this is a big day. There now an official Walgreens coupon policy that you can print out and bring to the store with you. That way, if there is ever a discrepancy between what your cashier is telling you and what the policy states you can show them the policy. Go HERE to read and print out the policy.
A few of the highlights of the policy are:
-
Walgreens does not accept expired coupons.
-
The number of manufacturer coupons, including Register RewardsTM manufacturer coupons, may not exceed the number of items in the transaction. The total value of the coupons may not exceed the value of the transaction. Sales tax must be paid, if required by state law.
-
Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale.
-
In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.
-
The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).
-
When purchasing multiple items, Walgreens accepts multiple identical coupons for multiple qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers, unless a limit is specified. Management reserves the right to limit the quantity of items purchased.
-
When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased. **The loophole I see is that the policy has not addressed using a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale to get the two items for free.
-
Walgreens accepts valid internet/print at home coupons.
-
There is a limit of one Register RewardsTM (RR) printed per offer per customer per transaction
-
Customers redeeming a Register RewardsTM against the same offer may not receive another RR.

Sounds like they are doing the same thing Target does where the overages is not taken off our next item. I guess they figure why give it to customer when they can keep the change, all the while redeeming from the manufacturer the full face value refund. Wow !!! I am starting to appreciate Publix more and more everyday.

I used a $4 RR to pay for the $4 Breathe Right Strips today. They said the $4 RR that should have been earned for the purchasing the Strips will not print out because I used a RR to pay, and I had to buy something else with it? Can anyone please explain?
Jessica says
Renata- if the $4RR you used was FROM the Breathe Right, a new Breathe Right will not print. However, if the RR was from another item, it WILL print.
The BOGO should be accepted on a BOGO sale to get both for free.
