This is another slow week at Walgreens and I had a tough time putting together scenarios for all of you. Feel free to take the week off if you prefer! 😉 This post includes specific items you can purchase and coupons that you can use to maximize your dollar AND your Register Rewards at Walgreens. The goal of this post is to help you get an idea on how to roll your RRs from one week to the next. Please also know that these transactions do not take into account tax. Every state taxes differently so you may need to budget a little extra to cover tax.
To see this week’s Walgreens Weekly Ad and Coupon Matchups, go HERE.
Transaction One
Buy one Airwick I-Motion or Lysol Neutra Air Freshmatic, $7.99 (you will receive $4.00 RR)
Minus one $2/1 Air Wick Freshmatic Ultra Starter Kit or Gadget Only Pack, exp. 2/26/12 (SS 01/29/12 R)
If you have RRs from last week use them here – just make sure you buy a filler item for the RR to cover
Total Spent: $5.99
Receive: $4.00 RR
Transaction Two
Buy one Goody Ouchless Elastics 27 pk, $2.99 (you will receive $2.00 RR)
Buy two
Minus two $3/1 Got2B Full Size Product, exp. 5/12/12 (RP 02/12/12)
Minus one $5/1 Precise Product from Tylenol, exp. 2/26/12 (RP 02/19/12) **I can’t promise we will all see this coupon – it may be regional
Minus $4 RRs from Transaction one
Total Spent: $0.00
Receive: $4.00 RR
Total Remaining RRs to apply towards next week’s ad: $2.00 RR
Total Out of Pocket for 2 transactions: $5.99+ applicable taxes for approximately $23 in products. And if you use RRs from last week in Transaction #1 you will save even more!
**Also – Don’t forget that your RRs will expire in a few weeks and if you let them expire, you are basically throwing away money. If you are concerned you will let them expire, I would put your RRs towards paper products like toilet paper, paper towels, diapers, etc which are hard to get dirt cheap!
Just got back from Walgreens and the register would only take 1 $3 off coupon for the Got2B. 🙁 So I didn’t get it. Any suggestions?
Went back with a copy of their coupon policy and I walked out with the Got2B for .42 (tax) ! 🙂
