This post includes specific items you can purchase and coupons that you can use to maximize your dollar AND your Register Rewards at Walgreens. If you have Register Rewards to use, that will give you more options. The goal of this post is to help you get an idea on how to roll your RRs from one week to the next. Please also know that these transactions do not take into account tax. Every state taxes differently so you may need to budget a little extra to cover tax.

Transaction #1

If you have RRs from last week use them here to save even more!
Total Spent: $2

Transaction #2
Buy one Hylands Cold N Cough, $4.99 (you will receive $4.99RR)
Minus $2RR from Transaction #1
Total Spent: $2.99
Receive: $4.99RR
Transaction #3
Buy one Infusium Hair Care, $5.99 (you will receive $3RR)
Buy one small filler item, $.20
Minus one $1/1 Infusium 23 Hair Products 9/18/2011 SS Insert (exp 10/31/2011)
Minus $4.99RR from Transaction #2
Total Spent: $.20
Receive: $3RR
Total Out of Pocket: $5.19 + applicable taxes
Product Worth: $13.18 + tax and you have $3 RR to use next time from Transaction #3!
**Don’t forget that Register Rewards expire very quickly and if you let them expire, you are basically throwing away money. If you are concerned you will let them expire, I would put your RRs towards paper products like toilet paper and paper towels which are hard to get dirt cheap!

My NE Ohio Walgreens refuses to print RegisterRewards if you present a coupon for the involved item(s).

Print off company coupon policy and give to store manager. It clearly states 1 manfacturers coupon and store coupon may be used per item. If you have a coupon that will exceed value of product or more coupons than items you will need to buy an item that’s really cheap(i.e. silly bands, small notebooks, etc.).
