Walgreens Scenarios for Weekly Ad 12/19/10 – 12/25/10

Below are new Walgreens scenarios.  This post includes specific items you can purchase and coupons that you can use to maximize your dollar AND your Register Rewards at Walgreens.  Please know that you do not have to follow these transactions if you do not want to.  The goal of this post is to help you get an idea on how to roll your RRs from one week to the next.  Please also know that these transactions do not take into account tax.  Every state taxes differently so you may need to budget a little extra to cover tax.

Beginner Scenarios

**these are two scenarios for the Walgreens newbies out there..

Transaction #1

Buy one Colgate Total Toothpaste 4 oz, $2.49 (will receive $1.50 RR)

Use two $0.50/1 Gain Dish Liquid 11/28/2010 P&G Insert (exp 12/31/2010)
Use $1.50 RR Earned in Transaction #1
Total Due: $0.17

Total Out of Pocket: $1.66 for $5.16 worth of product

Experienced Scenarios

**these are scenarios for Walgreens shoppers who are a bit more experienced and who hopefully have RRs that they are rolling from one week to the next.

Transaction #1

Buy one Colgate Total Toothpaste 4 oz, $2.49 (will receive $1.50 RR)
Use one $1/1 Colgate Toothpaste or Toothbrush Walgreens IVC
Total Due: $1.49
Receive: $1.50 RR

Transaction #2

Buy two L’Oreal Everstrong or Everpure Shampoo or Conditioner, Online list price is $6.99 each (will receive $5 RR)
Buy three filler items, $0.10 each (you will need to buy more filler items if you use jingle cash or RRs earned from a previous transaction: note you must have the same number of items as mfg coupons, store coupons and RRs or jingle cash combined at check out to use them all)
Use two $1/1 L’Oréal EverStrong Hair Products
Use $1.50 RR from Transaction #1
Use your register rewards or jingle cash you earned last week to save more!
Total Due: $10.78 (assuming you don’t use any other previously earned RRs or Jingle Cash)
