I have a love-hate relationship with our pencil sharpener here at home…since we homeschool, my husband suggested mechanical pencils (why didn’t I think of that?? ha!ha!) If anyone is in need of mechanical pencils, the in-ad coupon for $0.39 is a GREAT deal!! The Paper Mate 10-pk rings up for $2.49 EACH…that’s a $2.10 savings on each pack!!!! There is a limit of 6 packages, but you will still get all six for less than the original price of one package!!!

I wrote a nassy e-mail to Walgreens corporate to complain of the same thing. I went several weeks ago for the Gillette and Old Spice body wash deal. I was buying 4 of each. There was none on the shelf at 9:00 am Sunday. I went in 3 times and finally they had it. When I went to the register to pay one of the sales ladies said “she”could not allow me to but 8 bottles of shower gel because she hadn’t even bought hers yet. Oh boy was I mad. I was not clearing the shelf, there was plenty and this was on a Friday, 6 days into the sale and my 4th attempt to find the product at that store. She said she would have to check with the manager. After of 30 minutes of this women giving me a hard time, I did leave with my eight bottles of shower gel. After I sent my nasty note I received a call from the store manager just a few hours later to discuss my complaints. It went to my voice mail and he has not called back. Wags is not coupon friendly IMO.

Thanks for your help. I am a teacher and off this summer, so I have more time to go to different stores, but once I go back to work, I am not driving all over the place just to find empty shelves. I went to Walgreens for the goldfish and right guard sale. They had plenty of Right Guard but the goldfish were gone and the cashier said they only had about 10 bags to begin with.

Lisa, walgreens and I “break up” several times a week. LOL. they have empty shelves by Monday after a sale. the aloe socks? ha! they were gone on Sunday I think….anyways. they do issue rain checks, for the sale price, but not for the register rewards. So, I think the socks were on sale for $3.99 with a Register reward of $3.99 printing making them free, they would only write the rain check for $3.99 (and not the register rewards). CVS on the other hand will write you a raincheck for the ECB that would have printed as if the sale was still going on. I have called walgreens corporate and accused them of bait and switch or whatever it’s called, because I feel like they really don’t order enough qty of the item and feel like they do it for the sole purpose of getting you in their store. Otherwise, they would write rain checks to compensate for people wasting their time. My personal opinion. Don’t mean to sound bitter. but it is hard to travel across the country (lol) with two small kids (a 4 month old and a 3 1/2 year old) looking for a store with stock. I guess everyone has the same coupons and are taking advantage of the same deals. but it does get aggravating.

I love your website and finding great deals, but it is really a pain to go to Walgreens and the shelves are empty. Do you know if they have a raincheck policy like publix?

Minus 5 $0.75/1 coupons ($3.75)
Total Due: $6.25, receive $3 RRs, makes it $3.25/ 5 deodorant = $0.65 each
