New to win Dixie sonic I read this right and get all that it says for x amount off a gallon of gas , would I get about $2 and change of a gallon of gas?
Hi Heather! Fuelperks works like this: When you buy $50 worth of groceries, you get 5 cents off a gallon. $100, 10 cents off. And then Winn Dixie has special products (overpriced, in my opinion) which, if you buy them, you get “bonus” fuel perks. So, if you buy a certain bottle of wine for $9.99 and it’s marked as a Fuelperks bonus of 10 cents off, you’d get 10 cents off just for that one bottle.
Honestly, the best way to get your Fuelperks total (discount off of your gas) is to buy gift cards for things you’d buy anyway. I always buy Lowe’s or Home Depot cards at WD to get the Fuelperks before I go to Lowe’s or HD. And right now ALL gift cards (except W/D, American Express, Visa, Master Card) are a bonus 15 cents for every $50 in gift cards you buy. BUT, after Thanksgiving, all of them are a bonus of 20 cents! So if you eat at Chili’s, buy a Chili’s card & get Fuelperks. Same with Amazon, if you plan on shopping online, etc. Also, ALWAYS buy your $50 Shell gift card there to get the extra Fuelperks on that since you have to go to Shell to use your Fuelperks anyway.
I’ve bought several gift cards & a couple of the special bonuses in the past couple of weeks. My Fuelperks is up to 65 cents off a gallon. So, to answer your question, if gas at Shell is $3.30/gal, I’ll pay $2.65/gal. up to 20 gallons. If your car won’t hold 20 gallons, you may want to take an extra gas can or two to fill for your lawn mower (or your car for later!) so you don’t waste any of that inexpensive gas!
