I received an exciting email last night from Zaycon Foods! Their price for boneless, skinless chicken breasts has decreased to $1.49/lb! Zaycon Foods currently has countless Savings Events located across the country. The events sell different products but many are selling 40 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.49/lb which is an amazing price! If you have already paid for your order at the previous price of $1.69/lb, you will receive a credit of $8.00 to your Zaycon Foods account. This credit can be used toward any future purchase. Your account will reflect this credit no later than Saturday, Sept. 24th 2011. For any reason, at any time you can also request a cash refund.
If you are interested in purchasing chicken for the Savings Event near you, make sure you sign up to be on Zaycon Foods email list and look to see if there is an event scheduled near you. Savings events sell out so sign up before it is too late. (If you live in Florida, you need to reserve your chicken by this Monday, September 26th.)
And, if Zaycon Foods is not traveling to a city near you right now, don’t fear! Make sure you sign up to be on Zaycon Foods email list. They will email you once they have dates scheduled for a Savings Event near you! In the email they sent me, they confirmed that they will be selling 40 lb cases of Boneless, Skinless, Chicken Breasts for $1.69/lb. This is an amazing stockpile price! Remember, that you will want to freeze much of your chicken so that you can live off of it for months to come. OR, if it seems like a lot to freeze, you can split the order with a friend or neighbor! If you haven’t gotten on Zaycon Foods email list, go HERE to get on the list.
Are you new to Zaycon Foods? I wrote about Zaycon Foods last month. Feel free to read my post HERE reviewing their chicken and explaining more about their sales events. To see a list of the cities they will be traveling to across the U.S., go HERE

I’m buying 40 lbs of boneless skinless chicken breasts tomorrow at our local meat market for $1.69/ lb. I knew this was a great price, but have never bought chicken in bulk this way. How do you put up and freeze your chicken? Do you cook some of it for quicker meal prep in the future? We have a family of 6, and I love buying hamburger meat in bulk and browning it and freezing it in 1 lb ziploc bags for easy meal prep. It saves a ton of time for me on busy weeknights. Any ideas would be so helpful, thanks so much for all you do!

I normally buy in bulk from a company in clearwater and was going to try this one. I buy freezer bags and cut off any fat or excess skin/hair left of the breast(my only complaint about buying from the market is it sometimes requires extra work on my part) and freeze them 1-2 breast in a bag. The ones I get are huge and 2 breast will feed my family of 4. I have a pressure cooker so I can cook them quickly right from the freezer if I need them quickly. I also buy chicken legs the same way and I freeze them 6 to a bag. Last time I ordered ordered chicken in April I got 40lbs of boneless skinless breast and 40lbs legs for $89.

Thanks for the ideas. When I went to pick it up today, it was Sanderson Farms Chicken breasts (Boneless,Skinless), packaged 3-4 breasts per pkg. for $1.69/lb. I did place each container in a gallon freezer bag to help prevent freezer burn, because the plastic wrap around the chicken and tray is somewhat thin, thought this would help keep it longer. My freezer is getting all filled up with meat because of all the great sales lately. I’m definately not complaining!!!

A little disappointed with my chicken from Zaycon. After trimming the skin (a couple had full skin still on them) and fat and dumping the “chicken juice” I only got about 35 lbs of chicken. Several were “chewed up”, they looked like someone cut them up who had never used a knife before. Ended up being about $1.70 a pound, but not sure it was worth the traffic and hassle.

I’ll agree there was a bit more skin than I expected to see. I’m not sure how much mine weighed in at after trimming and such, but most of them were decent looking. I did have a couple that looked a bit strangley like you said.

I recieved my chicken yesterday in Clearwater! A little disappointed at the fact they were supposed to deliver in St. Petersburg, had a place picked and then changed it to Clearwater the day of, but besides that am loving it!
Can’t wait for them to send some beef and fruit this way!
